  1. I couldn't even tell you when I signed up to the first one. Doom56 was about in those days if I remember right
  2. Welcome back c0sie Glad to hear you made it out the other side. I remember hanging about on uk micro rc As it goes I've not long picked up the tools and started to get back into it all. Even found hidden away in the cupboard one of my old 18t shells with the uk micro decals on it. Is Tamiyacowboy still about ?
  3. Evening all, I've dug a lot of my old models out but struggling to get bits for them. Hopefully some of you have got some bits kicking around somewhere. Hyper 7 .21 or .28 engine Hpi t-15 nitro engine carb or complete engine Body posts for a hpi sprint gti. Especially the rears. Long L shape. Any other sprint gti parts wont go amiss either Rc18t - anything for spares.
  4. Havent got that far yet. Want to check with my local shop which they carry the spares for. Its inevitable what ever I get is going to have a coming together with a tree 😂
  5. Yeah I'm only intending on smashing it around the garden or a field Didnt realise how many variants of the hyper there is now
  6. I'm wanting to buy a nitro buggy. Electric just doesn't cut it 😂 Years ago as a kid I always wanted a hyper but couldn't afford one. Fast forward 14 years and I'm back restoring all my old rc and wanting a new one. Back then the hyper 7 was kind of king. Is this still the case or are the likes of the inferno out to give it a run for its money.

  9. Im in orpington so not to far really. I like the idea of the recon but little un isn't convinced. Might have to do some persuading on a slightly different note whats the Ken block style fiesta from hpi like anyone know?
  10. Didn't know they had be split up now the 18t used to be classed as a micro lol.I was aiming more towards a 1/18th more than anything.
  11. Long time out of RC but now my little un has decided she wants a RC car having had a go with a few of my old ones. Not Prepared to let her loose with one of my old 1/12th pan cars nor my 1/10th tourers so i need to find something for her to use and abuse Im toying with getting her a micro of some description as she can use it indoors if the weather is a bit naff. Whats the best options out there atm for micros. Last time i was kicking around on the RC scene the RC18T had just come out along with the Losi micro T. Our local model shop has the following in stock FTX colt Maverick ion and a few others i can't remember. Either of those two upto much or is there better out there? All i ask that it capable of withstanding the inevitable coming together with chair legs and walls and probably the curb and knowing little un the only tree in car park outside Thanks Dan
  12. Flysky Gt3b Radio set Mardave diff and a shell.
  13. I know there are loads of threads regarding this. Im now racing mardaves at my local club, and the old HPI and Futaba set up ive cobbled together to get me racing has done its job, but i could do with something with a bit more of steering rate adjustment, and its becoming a stuggle down there with xtal availability come race time. So ive been looking around at 2.4 systems. Ideally if i can spend less than 70 quid then happy days. Ive seen in that price range falls the: Ansmann w6 Ansmann w3.1 Spektrum DX3E Flysky GT3b From what ive read the W6 and the flysky are pretty much the same gear, just re branded. If you was in my situation what would you buy? Or has anyone else got any other suggestions ? How do people with the flysky rate them ?
  14. Cant say for certian how that axle comes out without seeing it better. But if its based on a mardave, the wheels should bolt off like any other RC, then the axle spacer or spur should simply pull off and the axle should slide out.
  15. I presume its a ABS shell, you should be able to trim it with a sharp pair or sissors, if your wanting to cut the windows best thing to use is a dremel, but i imagine you could cut the windows out with a sharp knife. If i run a ABS shell on mine i normally leave the window area alone for the rigidity. Not sure what your asking about the rear axle, but the spur gear just pushes on to the axle and then the spacer goes the other side where just before the wheel. Or is it a slip diff? What version of the mardave have you bought and are you going to race it?
