  1. I read this thread and my eyes went O.o. I have no idea what you're on about. However - USB stick raid, it can be done. I did it with software RAID on Linux, the speeds were terrible (one USB host has 480 megabit/s bandwidth, or 60 megabyte/s, and the drive capacity went downhill as the sticks (admittedly free ones my dad got at a trade show) wore out. SATA HDDs are faster and much more reliable. Your new idea sounds much better, although don't bother with a raptor, go SSD. And definitely dump Windows Keeping it clean of cruft to make use of the fast boot of the SSD will take more time than it's worth.
  2. How much will this be then,
  3. Are there enough Pro 4 owners out there to make this chassis worthwhile?
  4. North Korea, and a country in the Himalayas that I've forgotten the name of. Not many, really
  5. Are there any racing pidgeon forums you can join and post some pictures? Someone might know someone who knows someone who lost a bird.
  6. It's got to be embarrassing being hacked by an SQLi, though...
  7. They only managed to arrest him because he peed off anon a few months back, and they posted his details online.
  8. It's also showing up people who're too stupid to use more than one password; people getting giant foam trollfaces delivered because they use the password 'cheese' for their email, paypal and amazon accounts. I had my email and (hashed) password leaked in an unrelated hit. 30 seconds to change my password, and I'm still secure. If they'd hacked it they wouldn't have shut up about it, or would have kept deadly quiet about it. It's a hoax.
  9. Well, the census hack is a hoax. Probably to try discredit them or something. Still, kudos to Lulzsec for being awesome.
  10. So, apparently LulzSec have the WHOLE 2011 UK census data. This hasn't been confirmed yet, though, but Fudge the Government, and their terrible security. I'm not filling in the next one if some guys doing it 'for the lulz' can download it all. Someone has been arrested in connection to the raids on SOCA, but no idea if they're actually part of LulzSec or just some copycat.
  11. Do you think his last words were: 'Hi, I'm Ryan Dunn, and that was a really bad idea...'? Nah, that's low. He was funny, shame for him to die so young, but I'm honestly surprised it wasn't a stunt gone wrong that killed him.
  12. Phone the local police station every day until they do something about it. At some point they'll get so ****** off that they'll send someone round to deal with them.
  13. Well, if it gets people to step up their security procedures, then it's all good. The amount of password reuse and dictionary words used in that list is unbelievable.
  14. You could drill some nice, neat holes if you had a steady enough hand.
  15. Yeah, looking at it, it needs at least another of those 40mm fans on the back, and some more holes in the bottom.
  16. Where's the ventilation? My media server is an old Dell desktop, I chucked Debian on it, set up filesharing, and just leave it to do its thing. The cost for the whole project was... £0 EDIT: Also, windows on a server?
  17. There is a dead fly behind the screen of my turnigy charger. That was not there yesterday, I swear.

have you got one of those 4x 6s turnigy chargers with the loud fans? cause i got a fly behind mine too :L

  18. Here's mine, a .22 Sharp Innova 2. It's a pump up (front hand grip folds down and forwards), so not great for repeated shooting, but it's insanely powerful and accurate. It's just a shame it's got such a crappy scope on it. Apparently it's the best plastic bodied rifle of the 80's. The resale value is still up around £200 Also got a couple of air pistols, some cheap Italian (I think) .177 target pistol, and a 1950's Webley junior It's terrible, it hurls pellets out in random directions, and jumps around in your hands like nobody's business, but it's just incredibly fun to shoot. I don't know why. Oh yeah, and then there's this
  19. Someone just got a bargain, my SC10 sold for £57 + £7 P+P on ebay :P

Ah well, I still made a profit from it. Think I should have advertised it here? ;)

  20. If you have the key, then it's legal to download a copy off the internet. If anyone doesn't believe me, read the EULA
  21. Got 20 watchers on my SC10 on ebay... Is that normal? XD

Sounds a bit low, it should be renamed Ewatch these days.

  22. The only offroad you could fit a 5.5t in would be a 1/10 buggy. Maybe something like an Ansmann Blizzard, or LRP Blast?
  23. Had a poke around some Decathlon bikes in a store there in France, they seem pretty well built and specced, although I've never ridden one, so can't tell you how it rides. And all this talk of frame sizes makes me laugh, when I was looking for a new bike there were only two in our local shop's catalogue that would fit me. I take a 24" frame
  24. I might be along too, with my blast, SC10 and Revo. Depends if I think they'll be up to the abuse or not...
