Mentioning Beats raised an eyebrow, but saying skullcandy headphones were decent quality sent the credibility of this post out of the window
For headphones I'm not going for anything other than studio quality ever again. I bought a cheap pair of Behringer headphones, and the quality was fantastic. Just imagine what a pair of £100 AKG's would be like! No point shelling out the same for a pair of crappy Beats headphones, with their bass heavy frequency response and rabid fanbase.
EDIT: Also, keep the receipt for your headphones, and buy them from a high street shop (If there are any left where you are ). I did that with my £6 in-ear sony headphones (Which sound alright, not amazing but I don't care, they were £6 ), they broke three times, each time I got a new pair free from Argos. No point shelling out again because your headphones were crappy quality.
