  1. Thanks. I'm not sure why I just assumed that it was silicone, I have not looked at a bottle yet. The treadmill oil will probably be very heavy and tacky. I will have to find something else to use to thin it down with if I use it. e2a: I'll try it straight first if it seems like it will work. Some treadmill oils are advertised as 500 cst so 350 might not be too heavy.
  2. Like the title suggests I have just ordered a litre of 350 cst treadmill silicone oil. I intend to mix it with baby oil which I think is a very light silicone oil. Since my ftx zorro brushed just leaked its shock onto my floor! I want to make about a 30 to 50 cst equivalent by mixing baby oil with treadmill oil? I'll update this when I see how it goes, I need the treadmill oil anyway and could be useful in differentials maybe.
  3. FTX Ravine by the looks of it appears to be a more specialized hard core rock crawler vs the TRX4 which seems more like a nice looking expensive luxury trail truck for a bit of casual part time rock crawling. Although I'm no expert, I just watched some YouTube videos featuring them!
  4. Wow!!! I cannot afford an FTX SuperForza GT or even an FTX Stinger :_{||= Especially once I need to upgrade it! But this opens up new possibilities with a cheap starting point :_})= Although all that aero stuff that you have done could be a little tricky. I still need to properly read this thread, only skimmed it.
  5. I think I might like to put some larger diameter wheels on. I might try softer springs first. Im tempted to swap the shock absorbers for the ones on my Rokatan, that might also be a good upgrade for the rokatan.
  6. I did not really want to chop my chassis. I'm instead lowering the swing arms using extenders from China. So that I don't have to raise the body. I still need to make a skid plate. And try my bodyshell on it.
  7. I removed the pan-hard bar to see if it helps. But the left shock still seems to be weaker at the rear? And it puts all of the weight onto the left rear wheel upon hard acceleration.
