  1. thanks for the replies 😁 i have ordered a hobbywing 1080 esc. Its a start 🤣 now to find a good motor that has good power and speed. I am leaning more towards the trx4
  2. I have seen that 😁 but its pretty pricy atm 😔
  3. Hey guys. I am looking at getting a decent crawler. I am stuck between the Axial scx ii kit and the Trx4 sport kit. Which one would be the better of the two? Plus whats a good brushless system thats not going to cost me a remortgage of our house🤣
  4. hi nick 🙂 i just bought one of these for myself and my wife. So far we have only had them on our sofa course 🤣 but planning on building a small track in our garden. They are pretty capable stock. I have not seen many upgrades. I would like better shocks but so far not seen any.
  5. cheers dude. i will try that. atm i am using rubber o rings from some old shocks. the truck is only a few months old too so i was shocked to see this happening so soon.
  6. hey there :) does anyone know if there are any universal driveshafts for the jumpshot v2 mt? or any from a different model that fit? i am having issues with the stock ones slipping out far enough to make an awful cracking noise when cornering under power. i have shimmed them out but they still do it and have now started to chip the end of the drive cups. hope someone can help
  7. As the title states i have decided that i need a brushless system ? its just not quick enough for me. would it be able to still use my nimh batteries until i can buy some decent lipo's? also i will be buying the hardened gear set i discoverd the pain of stones in the spur today?
  8. opened my diffs today due to them sounding a little rough i feared i would come across the worst but to my surprise i found the grease had pretty much turned to a clay consistency. i am guessing this is due to the previous owner neglecting a little servicing. also while doing this service i noticed how much you have to take apart to get to the diffs which is such a pain in the ass? i also gave the shocks a clean and refill which were also only half filled at most! it drives and sounds so much better now?
  9. This is brilliant. thanks for the info guys. keep us informed on the hardened gears daveyboi73 it sounds a worthwhile project?. its a shame about rpm not making parts for the ftx cars. is there by chance any other companies truck that has close enough parts that retro fit and happen to have rpm parts made? would be really handy?
  10. wow cheers guys ? i intend making a cover for the chassis underside. does rpm make parts for this truck? i had some arms on my revo and they were bombproof lol. nickarla funny you said about the 1060 esc thats the one i have on its way but as far as parts i think i shall be getting a few hinge pin holders and spur gears and pinions. i like the idea of the alu chassis too. i intend running it at a quarry i have behind my house so i need to beef this baby up?
  11. Hey guys recently got back into rc after a long break? previously had a revo and merv plus countless b3's etc i have just bought a mint condition ftx carnage for £55 sadly its not the brushless version (not yet anyway)? i was wondering if anyone has some info on its weak parts and any flaws. i have already found one with the stock esc. so thats being replaced asap! hope you guys can help
