  1. Yeah had that advice on a FB group, will look at that... can I salvage this wheel with some glue/screws or am I "screwed"? lol
  2. Third proper outing and the THIRD time the front left wheel has worked its way loose, this time with a nyloc and loctite!! More annoyingly this time the hex has rounded out the wheel so that’s fit for the bin 🙄 Anyone had a single spare they’re willing to sell or suggest any alternatives? Otherwise it’s a new pair for ~£35 and a lot more loctite 🙈
  3. Added some Arrma body clip retainers to the MT10
  4. Welcome from a fellow recent newbie 👋
  5. I should have trusted your review 🤣 I have opened a case with them so see what they do, has useless replies from them so far, no surprise
  6. Yep, trying to save a few ££ with eBay and now no oil means I should have just stumped up the £20 to get the proper upgrades... lesson learned
  7. Installed a wheelie bar to youngest sons FTX Tracer, yet to be tested. Was also hoping to fit some oil filled shocks to replace the original very bouncy stock shocks but they arrived with 3 having zero oil 🙄 annoying, will order up some oil now.
  8. From eBay but as I say they are empty apart from 1 so you’ll likely need to buy some oil too! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234068297743 Piston pushed up, dry as a bone in there…
  9. Had ordered up some "cheap" oil filled shocks for one of my boys Tracers to try out (as we all know they are hideously bouncy on the stock friction shocks) but 3 out of 4 of them arrived devoid of oil (shocker, pun intended!) 🙈 So looking to get some shock oil, what's recommended weight wise? They are also a bit long… what are others using? (links would be great!)
  10. I guess that’s not ideal! What diff oil you replacing it with?
  11. Defo looks better with those wheels 👍
  12. Took the MT10 and FTX Tracer to BMX track near work for a little bash about, both did great 😝 MT10 took a right good bashing though the freshly nyloc’d wheel nuts still came loose on one side so they’ve now had a drop of threadlock added all round. Also checked the pinion gear and the grub screw was seemingly immovable so figured it’s unlikely to rattle loose 🤔 Mighty impressed with both cars but the little Tracer is insanely good for the money, it’s for my boys really and have some oil shocks on order cause the stock friction are utter pony 😂
  13. Built a little bit of storage in the shed… and repaired the MT10 after a wheel came off on its first outing and lost a hex pin, swapped to nyloc nuts in the process 🙈
  14. Post up a vid if you can, would help possibly identify the noise 👍
  15. What I DID do to my model today was take it out for the first time 😆 what I DIDN'T do to my model today was check the wheel nuts were tight out of the box 🙈 Lessons were learnt today 🤓
  16. You totally did, and I'd seen that mentioned elsewhere too and... didn't listen did I 😁 Ah cool, guess that's mentioned in the controller leaflet then, ta.
  17. Well… I clearly should have checked those wheel nuts before it’s first outing 🤣 that’s being excited and lazy Found the hex but not the pin so that’s shelved until some bits arrive 🙈 In other news, this was in the bag of bits and instructions but couldn’t find any reference to it, looks like a jumper cable but wasn’t expecting that?! Any ideas?
  18. Awesome! Thank you... so: M4 Lock Nuts ordered Any servo recommendations? See the EcoBoost mentioned a lot on YouTube Shall drop a bit of glue on it RPM arms on order What thickness do you recommend? Also seen mention of a thinner oil in the centre diff...? Any wheel/tyre recommendations? Took it out for a quick blast up the road this morning, flipped it twice with the brakes so defo going to try the adjustment hack!
  19. Ah I actually live in Newent at the moment but the Antics in Stroud had the version I wanted (MT not Truggy) but used to live there eons ago (went to Marling School for a bit). Still a nice place Yep that MT10 has sooooo many positive reviews and seems to be one of the best 3S RTR MT Bashers out there, especially for the money. Figured worth giving it a bash (pun intended!)
  20. Have just taken delivery of a shiny new MT10 and having skipped though the pages of this thread wanted to ask all you long-term owners or knowledgeable newbies… What's worth checking and/or modifying straight out the box? Not even connected a battery up yet (damned work!) but figured it worth seeing what experienced owners would advise if you were to start again with a box-fresh MT10 😃 Cheers Jon
  21. Evening all, Just dropping in to say Hi 👋 as I’m sure is quite common I’ve found myself coming back to RC after 30+ years. Couple of weeks ago I was browsing YouTube as you do and stumbled across Kevin Talbots videos on YouTube (they are very eye catching!) After a week of binge watching his channel along with several others, seeing how much the RC world had changed and even more how amazing RTR models are now it didn’t take long to decide I had to get me some of that action. Didn’t take long to end up at the Associated Rival MT10 as the ideal starting place though was a bit reluctant to splash that cash on that along with batteries/charger so last Friday picked up a FTX Tracer MT from my local shop (Antics in Stroud) on the pretence my kids could use it and I could see if it was as fun as it looked on YouTube… took it out Saturday and within about 2 minutes I knew I’d be buying that MT10 🤣 Made it to Monday (yesterday) and ordered the Rival MT10, batteries and charger which all arrived today… boom, done 🙈 Not even had a chance to try it yet but took a few pics and all set for the morning… so now I’m off to the owners thread to ask a few questions 😀 Already have my eye on the Infraction V2… I’m guessing this is quite normal now, wanting more already 🤪
