Mine came with the Traxxas CVD's, not sure I'd have bothered myself, from what I hear / read, if you stay with 4S max, and don't continually use the self right, then the stock plastic shafts can last quite well, and if/when they do finally let go, they're cheap to replace.

Really like this truck, much more than I ever expected to.  Still running stock esc & servo too!

I don’t think the shafts suffer to badly from self righting. I snapped the end of one after a cartwheel. £8 for a pair of half shafts, still on the stock servo to. That’s probably the only thing I might change in the near future.

Id love to compare mine to a stock one, but mines been incredible. Maxx and an X Maxx is the perfect off road Garage IMO

Just bloody good fun. I liked my Dads so much I hit one via a cheeky eBay bid. Mines the same except for having lights and the traxxas link fitted. The lights make me chuckle, brake and reversing lights along with headlights!

Traxxas do it with sensors and a Wi-Fi link, but you have to mount a phone or device to the transmitter. Also a few high end radio system like the Noble NB4 have telemetry, again with sensors and preprogrammed gearing/wheel diameters

If you’re talking about traxxas link it does although not sure how accurate it is. That said I’ve not fiddled with it to much as it was fitted to the Maxx I bought. I think you can set up various other sensors I believe. It’s nice to have the battery level visible but it is a bit of a pain having to have the app there and I don’t want my phone attached to the tx.

Too much lol, around £180 posted, they were going to be £230 with shipping from the Global warehouse, but I emailed them and they sorted out a deal 👍

Not that bad in the scheme of things £90 a pop. Cheap compared to traxxas ones at £142!
