  1. Managed to break an RPM arm! Anyone else done this? I know they're not indestructible but.... a little disappointed. I wasn't even being too mean....
  2. Oh my. What a muppet I am! Adding link to auction here as it's already got a few bids https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325219940712
  3. Hi mate, I've got a 10bl60 and I'm pretty certain it can't run a brushed motor
  4. Hi, I'm selling my FTX Vantage Brushless upgraded buggy with upgrades and lots of spares. It's also up on fleabay but happy to do a deal with a forum member. It comes with: Upgraded Aluminium chassis Upgraded to 48t 32dp RW Racing hardened acetal spur gear Upgraded to 17t 32dp RW Racing pinion gear Reedy 60A SC600-BL ESC (which doesn't even break a sweat) Surpass Hobby 3900 kV 3650 brushless motor Stock Etronix servo Wide arms from FTX Carnage, it handles like it's on rails with no traction rolls unless you're really trying to flip it. There's a running vid I posted on the forum. No transmitter or receiver. Spares included: 2x centre drive shafts (one may be slightly bent) 2x CVDs 2x dogbone drive shafts 2x rear turnbuckles 1x spare servo saver 1x set front suspension holders 1x set Upgraded aluminium rear suspension holders 1x set slipper clutch gaskets 1x RW Racing hardened acetal 0.6mod 65t spur gear Several RW Racing pinions - 0.6mod 19t, 21t, 23t 1x set differential pin 1x FTX Carnage bumper set 2x front gearboxes and differentials I bought for spares. One has the spur gear stripped but differential gears are fine, so kept for spares. 1x rear gearbox and differential for spares ZD Racing wheels/tyres (2x sets of fronts, I was running both sets of the wider rear tyres as can be seen in the pictures). There's a fair bit of gravel rash on the bottom of the aluminium chassis as to be expected but the car has been taken care of and runs well. There's also a crack on the rear wing. Any questions please ask! Thanks for looking

  6. I'm late to the party, but next time you're planning a meet up I wouldn't mind jumping in, if that's alright? Here's hoping you had a good day out fellas. Get any pics? 😁
  7. The Vantage ones aren't as wide, sounds like the seller is confused... Carnage and Bugsta are identical, IIRC, apart from the body and tyre tread pattern.
  8. Hey dude πŸ™‚ I have the same happen to mine, I don't run it any more until I get round to properly reinforcing it. I actually run an FTX Carnage 2.0 shell.. it needed re-drilling for different body mount placement but it looks pretty good (bit like a Granite) and while not especially strong without reinforcement, it's cheap. Unlike a replacement MT10 shell.
  9. Nice looking buggy @Keith Williams What is the rear wing from? My lexan one is looking tatty...
  10. I still get my FTX out now and again and enjoy it. Although I have to confess the best thing I ever did with my Carnage was put Vantage parts on it and make it a buggy conversion since I also kept breaking diffs and arms. Smaller wheels and less rolling resistance (not to mention the mass it carries into a crash) has made it seem like its overall a bit more resilient. I was getting sick of carring it back to the car in pieces Don't even talk to me about that waste of plastic they call a bumper... πŸ˜…
  11. A Hyper VSe! Very excited, I love my other 1/8 scale buggy, a ZD Racing BX-8e This one is getting a HW Max8 and the same Racerstar 2245kv 4276 motor as the ZD buggy. What servo are people running in these? Looking for bang for the buck πŸ™‚
  12. I've got the stock oil all around except for the centre diff, where I put 60k CST to try and keep the front wheels down a bit. One thing I've noticed is the 2.5mm e-clips holding the piston in the shocks has become worn and let go a couple of times, so I got some off eBay that seem to have held on a little better. Also I've snapped the front skid plate a couple of times. Shame RPM don't do an upgrade for that I reckon!
  13. Today the postie brought me an LC Racing LC12B1 and I am very excited!! πŸ˜†
  14. Yeah I had that happen to me not long after buying my MT10. It was the transmitter. Thankfully I got a warranty replacement off the model shop I bought from.
  15. Hey peeps, I know we are probably all "over" WLToys now, but since my most of my fleet are packed away (or in need of TLC) I broke out the WLToys for a bit of a lunch time bash to melt the stress of an IT desk job... Here she is, running a hobbywing 60A ESC, 3600kV 2445 motor, freshly rebuilt diffs and a very average 2S pack. Body is off an FTX...something. Surge MT, I think? For what it is, I reckon you can't knock it. (...knock it too hard and you're gonna have to fix it, anyway)
  16. So yeah, that is an issue. It does traction roll fairly easily on grass/grippy surfaces. It has a stiff ride and anti roll bars which is unusual for an MT (I think?) which contribute to its rollypolly ways. I've not messed with lowering the ride, but you're dead right that is a feature of this MT like a lot of others. But I bet you you could tune it to be more forgiving if you were so inclined
  17. Thanks everyone ☺️
  18. Just to add my 2 pence, I've had my MT10 for 6+ months and given it a decent beating. It's a riot! Love it. The only breakage was a cracked skid plate and ripped the thread out of the steering turnbuckle. Somehow managed that without damaging an arm. Even at Β£269 + battery I'd say it's still good value
  19. Hi, I'm new here... Not sure what to say, I've been in and out of the hobby for years. This is my latest re-visit.. Currently running 2x WLtoys 124019s, an FTX Carnage (modded with Vantage parts), ZD Pirates 3 and a Team Associated Rival MT10. Bashing around the Preston area (or will be when I move back in 2 weeks). Nice to be here, hope to make some friends. Psy6
  20. Funny you mention that, that's exactly what I did before Christmas and I have had issues. First off, I shoud say it drives like a dream., when it's working. However I've had a problem with the motor mount moving out of position, ultimately resulting in what you see in these photos.... (finally ended up fully knacked today) So, that's Β£20 and a wait for a new chassis plate. And I am thinking a couple of steel or carbon fibre plates bolted top and bottom to screw the motor mount into. Other than that I'm dead pleased...
