  1. Theres also Burton which is close to you, we have the odd 1/10th pop down from time to time. Come down for a club meeting or practice. or if there was enough interest we could run a 1/10th class in our winter series. http://www.brcorc.co.uk/
  2. Hi there just wondered if any one had one of those Orion Lap conters for sale, will pay by Paypal or cheque if anyone has one at the right price. cheers
  3. sometimes when running larger more powerful engines it can be more benefical to run lighter springs eg 1.0mm or 0.9mm. This is because these more powerful engines with loads of torque can actually have the torque to take the shoes (with a stronger spring) past the point of gripping and cause the clutch to slip where as a lighter spring will actually allow the shoe to grip the clutch bell harder. Also running lighter springs will result in smother take offs with a less likely chance of wheeelies on high grip surfaces.

    Best Monster

Got to be the savage for bashing, using a stock engine its pretty bullet proof.
  5. When i had my Marder i managed to get one off the good old e bay, but i think the gm models do them too if i remember rightly. Can't say how much though you'll have to do a seach for there site. hope this helped
  6. The pro one has stiffer ally braces, a 7075 chassis, better shocks, ally suspension holders, dual disc up front, hardened diffs, thicker shock towers, cvds up front and center, ally steering knuckles and is still very light. I think that you may have had a little bad luck cause even the rr version seems to hold up very well at our track and performs better than buggys that cost a lot more money. Get the pro cap ends ant get yourself some spare shock ends and you'll be fine.
  7. Hi, Does anyone know where to get Parts for the mbx5 series buggys in the uk??? thanks
  8. Brilliant buggy!!!! Very easy to drive , light weight so quick too, also i don't know if any one has noticed this but compared to a lot of other buggys this one seems to land back on its wheels when it crashes(bonus!!!) most of the time, which is very helpful when racing!!
  9. spares are readily available and also hb spares are probably one of the cheapest in the industry
  10. The lightning stadium is an excellent off road truck, i race one and find it very easy to drive. There are more and more truggy's coming on to the market now but i don't think that any of them yet have captured the lightnings ability to soak up the bumps. Although others have improved in other areas eg. turning ability.have a good look round before you decide!!
  11. Dead right samari, i hate those nasty steel spur gears waste of time and money!!!IMO 49/18 is probably about right for the sts engine although it would probably wheelie quite easily i would look at stopping wheelies by altering you set up first. Problems occur with your clutch if you start running to high geared as it'll start slipping causing all sorts of problems. Maybe you could go a little higher geared though if you had the 3 speed???
  12. This plonker has obviously has not read the instuctions properly to his venom speed meter has he!! They need calerbrating to you car/truck. lol
  13. Glad that you like it Merlin thinking of getting one of these soon myself if i can't get some more steering out of my lightning!!tried nearly everything now feel that i could drive it faster round my local track if it would let me if you know what i mean. How come your running the center diff that thick?? surely it'll hinder steering no end. I used to run 20000wt in the center when i used to run 28s but now i have high end 21 i found no need. does look great though merlin!!
  14. Merlin, how does it compare to the lightning??Does it turn better?? is the chassis shorter in length than the lightning??Does it soak up the bumps as well as the lightning? cheers Rob
  15. new web site and forum!!! BRCORC
