    Delayed reply, but as far as I can see, this is still the one to get for the money. I just bought my son one, and have ended up buying myself one too so we can race (as my old Himoto Barren DT brushless just keeps breaking diffs and drivetrain).

    Has anyone tried fitting the new metal diff from HBX Pro / Hyper Go models? https://rcmodelsonline.com/product/mjx-16420-all-metal-gear-differential-case-for-mjx-h16h-h16e-h16p-rc-car-spare-parts-hyper-go-truck-spare-parts/ I've got a Himoto Barren brushless (same running gear as Maverick Ion) and need to find a way to stop wearing out the drivetrain!

    @bosq I have a Himoto Barren brushless - essentially the same as Maverick Ion. I'm finding my steering servo seems weak - could you give a part number for the "steel servo from turningy - service free in any weather / road condition" ?
