Having been fascinated with rc cars as a child, I eventually managed to save for my first at the age of 14 and purchased a Tamiya Audi A4 STW TA03F. I then went on to spend a part of most weekends for a long time travelling to Model Junction in Bury st Edmunds to see what hop ups I could afford.

Sadly, I then had to get a job and my time and interests soon diverted to work etc so the hobby was dropped.

As an adult, with a young family, my eldest has recently come an age and showed an interest in RC cars. It didn’t take me long to make the decision to then buy us both a monster truck each. I can’t lie, I do feel too old to be playing with toys in public, but this hasn’t stopped me doing it. A lot has changed and I have had to quickly learn about new electronics and maintenance but it’s been fun and glad to be back on the scene.
