What diff oil are ppl using here in carnage, I have 7000 in rear and putting 10000 in the front..just wondered what other people use

Lol possibly mate yhh..I used few layers to make the shell a little tougher, its heat resistant tape tho n I looked about hour ago and you can get similar sort of aluminium heat resistant tapes actually for rc shells, so I'm guessing not atm

Thanks for advise guys, I already had a hunch on battery capabillitys because one site said 2-4s and another 2- 3 on the same combo...the manual for each says, motor is capable of 3s and esc of 4s..this has turned from a cheap buy to play with into a no expense sort of project lol..atm I have 49t spur and 15t pinion super fast top end acceleration is there wheelies whenever you punch it..as of yet no issues with heat at all, not even close! Vented out front end for airflow anyway, have a 22000rpm rocket fan on heatsink unplugged but there if need.. lowest pinion i have atm is 12t but not tried yet.. so won't be running 4s and as of yet iv only ran 2s on this set up, atm 3s would be unnecessary as struggle to keep front down on 2s lol

Also I already purchased and fitted today, I used the pinion that came with it wich I didn't check till now is a 23t pinion, didn't run for long was just testing it out but was OK..super fast..but stripped the plastic spur before long wich I expected anyway lol

Excellent thanks I will join in on that thread 2, well I am new to rc and electrics is a whole new world for me lol I do, do my research tho but also rushing a bit lol cuz wana use it, I brought it second hand but later realised it had a 4800kv smaller boat motor and cheap 120esc and overheang issues, long story short after a few spurs the esc caught fire, lucky to have fire estiquisher lol.. I have 32dp 49t hardened spur ready and ordered 15,17,19 hardened pinions to try different gearing, also it said on website 2s-4s lipo..but Manuel's say esc can handle 4s but the motor Manuel says only 2s and 3s so I was planning on running 3s also.. thanks

Hi all, I am new to rc and have a ftx carnage... I have purchased the hobbywing max 10 combo 4000kv 120a, I seen someone asked if thats good for a carnage and the shop says yes..I been looking at measurements and it will be a tight fit! My question is.. how close to the motor can my esc be? As they would be mm's apart! Or is it ok to mount esc on top plate? Thanks in advance to say who pipes up.
