Has anyone else with a Kronos having problems with the front upper hinge pins pulling out? My issue is the screws connecting the steering deck keep stripping out the gearbox case, ruining it and allowing the flex letting the hinge pins out. I'm just about to install my 4th gearbox case. Everything else about this truck has been great, even the v1 wing mount is OK with the addition of a couple of HD cable ties. I have most of the upgrades available including alloy lower front brace and upper hinge pin holder but they do nothing to address this. I can't see a fix without a redesign of the gearbox case to top plate pickup. Don't want to give up with this car but my bashing to wrenching ratio is low!

Got every upgrade for this car but the weak point is the steering deck to gearbox pick up points. Screws pull out here and allow top hinge pins to pull out. I have already a v2 steering deck so that don't break like the v1 , just pulls out the gearbox mount instead, had 3 g box cases,+araldite and cable ties! Even with an alu top brace which is not available yet I can't see this being sorted,the gearbox case needs more meat. Great car if your jumps are less than 3 feet high . Kraton 4s drives home after 2 battery's serious abuse, this won't do one without breaking.

After buying my bro a 4s kraton I wanted a basher to run together. This was in lockdown and not much available at the time except the kronos. He absolutely hits on that thing while I'm continuously wrenching 😢 Absolutely great to drive but fragile, I have every upgrade available but the weak point is the steering deck to the gearbox pick up point and I can't see how this can be sorted. Killed 3 gearbox shells and when these go the front hinge pins pop. Great electrics, will be transferred to the exb I've ordered!
