This is my ftx vantage i bought it in january to get me started on the hobby i have had great fun with this car i have also upgraded it a bit It has a hobbywing 1060 brushed esc that can take a 2s lipo New 550 brushed motor Steel pinion Steel spur (The original comes with plastic) New tyres New wheels New clutch New centre shaft Also comes with 2 batterys one 4200 mah and one 1800 mah £100 Any questions please ask

anyone got an associated mt10 what are they like to own considering selling my hpi savage xs flux and getting one of these

another question from me sorry has anyone had a problem with dog bones coming out of the cup while bashing obviously an easy fix to put it back but is there a way to stop it doing it like a slightly longer dog bone maybe or a bigger axel cup i would assume

I have hpi savage flux xs with a ford raptor shell and when i put the clips in the body shell the escs fan is covered should the shell have holes in it enabling the esc to breathe or should it be covered to stop anything getting in

Im needing quite a bit tbh idler and drive gear its pretty much a full gear box for xs savage

Ah high pitch scream coming from the esc you know the bleeps tellimg you your esc is set its them bleeps screeming if that makes any sense at all

Hi i have converted my brushed vantage into a brushless never had a brushless before is cogging normal its meshing properly just at slow speed seems to slightly cog also the esc and motor i bought is used when i come to a slow pace and hit the throttle immediatley the esc makes a screaming noise but the car dosnt take off any ideas what this could be

I had the wrong size pinion to go with the steel spur i had 23 tooth on now fitted a 17 tooth today a million times better

Yeah the used the paper to make sure the meshing is right can not get the pinion grub screw tight the pinion keeps flying off and its as tight as i can get it

My new spur turned up and fitted it but the car now sounds really loud so somethings not right

Programme card turned up today and also the new spur gear lets get it in and get it going

i got my first rc car in january and it was the ftx vantage recently i need to replace the 550 motor so as the oppurtunity arose i decided to try doing a brushless conversion with no experience at all i bought a etronix 60 amp esc and a etronix bushless motor fitted it all this week what a nightmare i had programming it in without researching anything, eventually got it to work but now its chewed up my spur gear because of the power on a 2s so i am now awainting a new steel spur gear from modelsport has anyone had any problems with the steel spur gears i have a steel pinion too will it be able to cope with 2s and 3s with this change or do i need to change anything else

I have bought a esc and a brushless motor but the bullets are different size to the connector i didnt realise there was different sizes is there a adaptor for this as at the moment the bullets are too small

to go in my ftx vantage at the moment its running brushed

for 1/10th scale i think the tamiya ones are for 1/16 i believe

Well used but functional eTronix Photon 2.1FW Waterproof 60A ESC Combo With 13.0R 2950kV Motor.ESC is completely submersible and will still function happly great for boats! 2-3s Lipo - 4mm bullets.The motor isnt in the best shape, new bearings fitted, shaft slightly bent at the tip but doesnt affect meshing.Be better than a brushed setup for a light 1/10 basher / rally car. - £35

anyone got a brushless esc lying around that works for around the £30 mark

Hi i have a ftx vantage with a hardened pinion and hardened spur gear also have a hobbywing 1060 esc but the standard ftx 550 motor I have been running it on nimh packs i also have a hpi savage that runs on 2s lipo just curious if the vantage will take 2s lipo comfortably and not break it
