  1. Place holder for a new build thread, keep your eyes peeled for updates soon!
  2. You can't buy this model, it's custom built by me (albeit using parts available to buy).
  3. Thank you It's 1/10 scale with fully functional bed and winch too.
  4. Thank you all, I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to enjoy and comment on this build, means a lot 👍🏻
  5. Cheers dude, appreciate the kind words.
  6. Ooh err! Ha ha 900mm long, 510mm WB
  7. That's it.....we are done, what a journey!!!
  8. No takers? I can do £20 snail mail if it helps.
  9. I had great plans to do a full mod on this buggy buty Chevy needs finished for its new owner next month so the extra money will help out with that. It's a roller so will need an ESC and radio to complete. I can include the original battery that it came with. Note - I hacked the driver out with a view to doing a more detailed cockpit so don't say I didn't tell you ha ha. I've put some decals on it otherwise it's pretty much good to go. I'm only asking for £25 which includes fees and postage within the UK.
  10. Swallowed some brave pills and drilled holes in my nicely painted body to fit a sun visor
  11. If I thought rattle can painting was my mantra it turns out freehand brush painting is even worse!!!! Started painting in the window trims. Starting with the sides 🥴
  12. Thanks, it's what I was hoping for but you never really know what it will look like until applied .
  13. Cheers mate, the colour choice was pretty much in my mind from the start and I though some fictional decals would help make the cab pop even more. Sadly this one can't stay, the proceeds of sale will go towards my next build (I just build and sell, it's what I like to do). I've also got a commission build heading my way soon too 😅
  14. Thank you gent's, I feel like I'm on the home stretch now. Can start thinking g about my next build once this one moves on to its forever home.
  15. Isn't it amazing how paint can completely transform a truck (even when it's not finished). The Chevy K30 flatbed now has its cab painted (bar some window trim detail) and fictional decals applied. Will get the remaining body trim pieces added and windows in before I start looking at detailing the engine bay and cab interior. Note - painting is my arch nemesis but I'm happy with the results.
  16. That's one of the reasons I chose the Flysky mate. Lots of functions but the i6s also comes with spring loaded throttle so it's ideal. That's me using 2 aux channels for the bed and winch with plenty left in reserve for lights etc. Good bang for buck radio for sure 👍🏻
  17. Cheers buddy, appreciate that. Next stop is to paint the cab now that the weather is more in my favour for doing it outdoors.
  18. I've been winching today ha ha. Got the winch installed on the flatbed and wiring is done. OCD means when the bed is up I don't want to see any cables hanging down that serve the winch. Yep you guessed it, the wires are traced through and down the headache rack and underneath the bed to the pivot point on the chassis. It makes for nice clean lines, it's just a shame I ran out of zip ties to finish the cabling off. Will get that finished another day! In the meantime here's a few photos from along the way as well as a wee running video too IMG_20230520_144854_HDR by Stuart Pardue, on Flickr IMG_20230520_144900_HDR by Stuart Pardue, on Flickr IMG_20230520_144908_HDR by Stuart Pardue, on Flickr IMG_20230520_151606_HDR by Stuart Pardue, on Flickr IMG_20230520_151637_HDR by Stuart Pardue, on Flickr IMG_20230520_151616_HDR by Stuart Pardue, on Flickr IMG_20230520_152057_HDR by Stuart Pardue, on Flickr
  19. Ah no worries. I've got a 1/12 scale buggy as a roller but it's a little too small compared to your suggestions in your original post.
  20. Is 1/10 scale your preference and does it need to be RTR?
  21. Cheers, I think they are a touch faster than rated, they are 6v actuators but I'm presuming they are being fed over 7v from my 2s lipo via the receiver. There is scope to slow them down using a different channel on the radio. I'm happy it all just works though, it's difficult when you have a concept in your mind but no way of knowing if it will work ha ha
  22. Cheers mate appreciate the kind words 👍
