  1. I went for the Emb1 H pro kit, which comes with the 4850 motor already https://www.dms-racing.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=37504&virtuemart_category_id=470
  2. Looking at upgrades already!😀 would this be worth getting (I have a Sanwa MTS set on way too) https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/294118/
  3. Hi, yes, when you cycle through the options it has 7.2v 2s, you can them adjust the amps. As I said it looks like a faulty mains adaptor, seems fine off the car.
  4. Had a few things throughout this week: Imax B5 Charger 3 x Turnigy 2200mah nanotech Lipos 2 x Core rc Paint Aerosol Diff Oil Shock Oil Lipo Bag Mini Body Clips Vernier Calipers Hobby knife set Spot the Newbie!
  5. Ok, it actually seems to be the Ac/Dc adapter that’s faulty, billed upto the car battery and charging nicely on Balance charge setting. thank you
  6. I have an Imax B5 charger, and Turnigy Nanotech 2200mah 7.2v 2 s Lipo Battery, does anyone know the correct setting to charge it on. Am I correct in that it should be 2.2A 7.2V 2S? When I begin the charge in this setting it starts then the Charger screen goes blank beeps and the screen just displays its name (Imax B5) and then goes back to the settings. The Batteries are all new (3 of them) and this is the first time I have charged them, am I doing some thing wrong or does this just mean that they are already charged? The instructions for the charger are fairly vague.
  7. DMS, are who I have been using for the Kit, very helpful, and patient with my many questions. as said above they have stock on the way (including my kit!)
  8. Hello again, more questions! the esc that this EMB1H Pro comes with (Hobbywing - 35 Amp waterproof brushless speed controller) mentions that it is programmable, what exactly can be done with this?, do you need a programming card?
  9. I may have gone a bit mad and bought the Sanwa MTS. this is becoming an expensive hobby😬
  10. Ok, that’s one that I have looked at, thank you
  11. Is anyone able to recommend a radio system, I had originally looked at the Spektrum STX2, but on looking through various reviews, it seems not to be to good, general garden bashing. budget up to £100, mane more if needs be
  12. Those look good, a tidy solution
  13. I am looking forward to getting this now, not built an RC since my Shumacher Pro Cat. this is what I have ordered so far, so just wondering if anything else is needed? Car kit Paint Shock oil DIF oil Super glue Lipos X3 Charger Controller/receiver Lipo bag connectors (XT 60)
  14. Thanks Again, I emailed DMS, they said kits don’t come with anything in regards fluids. will have a look at a few paint options then too.
  15. Looking for a bit more advice please. Do these kits come with Threadlock, Diff Oil and Shock Oil, also will the tyres need glueing on?, what glue?. Thinking about paint, what is the go to aerosol paint? sorry for all the questions
  16. Great, just ordered, with the charger suggested and some xt60 connectors. thanks for the suggestions
  17. Ok, thank you, the battery is out of stock, so will need to find an alternative
  18. Ok, yes it’s the pro kit from Dms, it’s been a while since I did any soldering. Thanks
  19. Thank you, though the battery is out of stock, any others, I’m not sure which connector type comes with the kit?
  20. Hi, looking at one of the EMB 1 Pro kits (comes with motor, esc and servo, can anyone recommend a charger and 2s lipo, this is all new to me, but don’t want to spend too much (famous last words😀)
  21. May be a daft question, but other than being in Kit form and not having transmitter or receiver, is there any actual difference in the RTR vs the kit, in regards to materials/quality ?
  22. I had realised they were the small scale, Those LC ones look great, not heard of them before. Now the budget has to increase though😀
  23. New to RC, well sort of, used to dabble years ago, started with a Grasshopper, moved onto Tamiya Celica then Raced a bit with Kyosho Optima Mid Custom, then Schumacher Pro Cat (all pre brushless) anyway, been looking to get something small just to muck about with, these caught my eye. any experience, anyone got one?, I saw there was a discussion on the original GT24b but this hasn’t been updated in over a year. Or does anyone have any other suggestions, wouldn’t mind a kit, but then the serious money starts I guess!
