  1. I'm interested in the ESC but the bidding has started so I assume you'll see it through.
  2. Could just be! Drop me some pics and details please sunny?
  3. Sounds like it could be! Can you drop me some info, pics etc please sunny?
  4. Hi, I'm after a half decent basher. I already have a pretty much brand new HW QR10 motor and ESC so a rolling chassis or even just a chassis (I like projects) would be OK. Complete cars considered also. The lad has a TA Rival MT10 so it's just something to run alongside that. Messing around in fields etc mainly so a MT or sand buggy thing with bigger wheels/tyres. I like the Arrma Grantie, Losi tenacity, Reys, Axial Yeti, Proline MT, tenno MT, that kind of thing. Not too spendy mind (I know this will probably exclude the Tekno!) These are just examples, I'm pretty open. I don't really want a smooth tyred buggy or track oriented car though. Must be capable of handling 2/3S lipo power. I'm Bristol based for any who insist on collection. It really doesn't need to be an oil painting as long as its structurally sound. Budget is a consideration here! Thanks!
  5. Yes my sus arm snapped following an outing with the boy. Nothing too ridiculous, I certainly wouldn't want to be launching the thing if it snaps at the kind of use it has been getting.
  6. Yep, broke the suspension arm on ours yesterday. Inevitable really. A 3rd party really needs to make some better ones.
  7. I think it looks great and there is no FTX I'd rather have regardless of the price difference.
  8. I'd be happy to hear a price with and without if that's ok with you?

£267.52 with that code now. Still cheaper than MS but frustrating how much is out of stock.
  10. As per the title, looking for a Losi offroader. The ideal would be either a rock rey kit or a Tenacity DB pro. Don't necessarily need a motor, batteries and ESC but flexible really. Thanks!!!
  11. I have no issue with stuff breaking as a result of fun, but ESCs which don't work? Shops having to "charity" Arrma out of trouble? That's really not good is it?
  12. Flipping heck. Just when you think you have made up your mind on something, this jumps up!
  13. Sounds great. I have been offered another RC car in the meantime so could you give me an indication of your price please? I don't necessarily need a motor/ESC, but pretty flexible really.
  14. Yes, I enjoyed your posts on there during my research. I could be interested, are you able to post some pictures of it's current condition and let me know what kind of price you'd be looking for please?
  15. Yeah, that's my fear too. Great work getting one yourself though, enjoy it buddy. Was that from ebay?
  16. I'm a bit gutted that they discontinued the Rock Rey kit, it would be perfect as I have bought a ESC/motor combo for the lads FTX Outlaw (which I want to replace) Is thee anything like that around now? Or does anyone know of any shops which have or might have one of the Losi RR kits? Thanks!
  17. Hi All, I bought the little one a FTX Outlaw for xmas which he loves. He's a lot better at driving it than I imagined and he's already asking about "faster". I went out and bought a 5000mAh 50C NIMH battery as the 1800mAh was frankly pathetic! I have a suspicion that we may have burned the motor out (or close to it) judging by the smell it make. Not sure why, it was only run for about half an hour. Anyways, it's probably time to go brushless. A little faster would be OK but increased run time would be the main goal. I'm thinking of running it on 2S, and I was hoping for a little guidance. This is the ESC/motor combo I am looking at; https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-ezrun-combo-max10-3652sl-3300kv-brushless-motor/rc-car-products/420922 Would this suit? Is it likely to fit straight on without too much hassle? Also, do I need a new pinion? Should I buy the same size (which I think is a 17) I think that the metal rear CVD is probably a good idea anyway so I'll order one of those. I was also looking at the hobby wing heatsink/fan combo to the motor, I assume that it'll just connect to a spare port on the receiver? I think it is a Etronix GFSK. I have tried the Outlaw owners thread without much luck. Thanks in advance for any help!
  18. Would any of you kind people be able to post a link to a suitable brushless motor/ESC combo reasonably priced please? I hear that there is some Goolrc stuff? anything else which competes for the money? I bought a LiPo battery but it seems crazy to put it on the current motor with a Deans/Tamiya connector on the battery. The boy wants "faster" too..... Thanks,
  19. Very useful, thanks very much. Am I better off just getting another NiMH battery in that case? Would this one do the trick? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/0/rc-car-products/443330 I could look at the brushless motors etc whenever the need for speed arises.
  20. Hello everyone, I'm an absolute newcomer to RC and was hoping for a little guidance and I'd be very grateful if anyone could find the time? I have been on the hunt for an RC car for my sons 6th birthday. In typical dad style, he's asked for an RC car and I've completely torn the arse out of it and started looking at all the cool stuff. Clearly he's going to crash it, and he doesn't need anything too fast. The great value of the outlaw has pretty much sold it to me, and the boy loves the look of it. My biggest worry is battery life. It seems that LiPo could improve this, but could lead to overheating? I'd also need a different charger? Would I also need a stronger axle to handle power and a new ESC to prevent the overheating? With all this in mind, would it cost less to just get the brushless version? I've looked at the GoolRc motor and ESC package, seems reasonable but the charger and battery packs are pretty damn pricey! As I said, it really doesn't need to be super fast (yet), I'd just like it to last for longer than 15 minutes. Retirement before the fun ends would lead to that awkward "battery has run out" and would take the sheen off the cool new present. I would really appreciate it if someone could fill the gaps for me, an idea of what would be needed and an indication on price would be gratefully received. Thanks!
