I tried a hyper 7 shell but it doesn't quite fit right. However I think the hyper Vse shell might fit cos thats made for an electric vehicle. My electrics made the hyper 7 shell lopsided
Yeah I heard that the 2wds are more challenging but you can slide the back end out and hold a drift unlike with 1/10 2wd where it's so twitchy that you need a gyro to drift. Will spend most of the time running on short grass and dirt. Im only really interested in petrol as electric is out of the budget and doesn't make nearly as much sense at this scale.
When I was out with the 5th scale lads yesterday it seemed everything was breaking so I wanted something that wouldn't be stupidly expensive to fix.
My fool system works okay. The issue is that quality control is non existent with these companies so it's luck of the draw when it comes down to getting a good one. Some people get one that runs perfectly and can handle 3s lipo with no problems while others get one that doesn't work at all. Mine kinda works fine. There's just a throttle delay from the ESC which I can live with
I heard those were pretty good but I'm only really interested in 2wd. I say that because the guys down at the bash spot said that 4wd gets expensive with all the extra moving parts that could need replacing. So a 2wd could be better for me and my strict budget. Idk tho.
Been delving into the 5th scale market tryna see what's out there. Been running with a lot of em recently and my 8th scales just get bullied frankly.
Looking for a 2wd buggy but I'm not sure what's the best for the price. Rovan Baja is cheap as doodoo but idk if the car is doodoo or not. Would probably buy second hand.
Looking to spend max Ā£600.
Any ideas?
I don't believe it's a scam. I've seen many people who have been satisfied with those nitro kits.
If you want an off-road buggy version @A J then you might want to consider this

Spent the entire day drilling out a grub screw in a pinion with inadequate tools (broke 2 drill bits and my messed up my Dremel) that I overtightened with rubbish hex drivers that rounded it out. I got it off but at the cost of scratching up a pristine motor and motor mount on top of accidentally drilling into the shaft because I couldn't see when the grub ended and when the shaft started. Had to heat the pinion up even after drilling to about 200Ā° to pry it off and in the process scratched and burned myself multiple times.
It's a lesson to get the right tools so I don't have to bodge everything every time.
At least I got it off š¤·š»āāļø
That was my first proper RC that I got when I was 8. It broke horribly after about 5 uses so I sent it back. If you ever want to sell it please let me know as I'd consider taking it off ur hands.
