  1. Yeah I run 2s lipo on my midnight pumpkin but I used an old brushed esc that I took out from an ecx torment. It's great fun 👍 basically any motor can take 2s but you need a 2s capable esc with lipo cutoff. Something like this: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F123744359358 That one can take 3s as well. I've also included a picture of the 3d printed bodyposts I'm running.
  2. I 3D printed my midnight pumpkin bodymounts and they are working great 👍 One tip though is if you are printing them yourself you need to think about the orientation of the layer lines. This is because if you print them upright then they are more likely to break as the layers are in the same plane that the forces want to break them off. On the other hand if you print them laying down they are less likely to break as the lines are at 90 degrees to the way it wants to be broken. Sorry if that's confusing They should be ok whatever orientation you print them in but just a bit stronger lying down. Also you can just use an esc with lipo cutoff and then it's just plug And play with the lipo batteries and the pumpkin.
  3. I actually bought it in 2016 but Tamiya have been making the midnight pumpkin since 1987
  4. Yeah I have had a look at that but I believe that they mainly run 1/5 scale
  5. Thanks for the ideas I'll have a look. I've been crawling at Broadwater Warren and there are some little tracks to go down but nothing really for bashing. There's a good pub and walk to do if you are into that too. Made a video too Mostly had slower cars before but getting a slash 4x4 soon so looking for somewhere to bash. Used to have an ecx torment short course and I just went to a few local skateparks like Lewes skatepark which is good.
  6. I'm located in East Sussex around Lewes and im looking for any bashing spots anyone knows of. I've got all sorts of rc vehicles so any terrains should be good. Not really into racing so just looking for somewhere to go. I've got a few local skateparks which are pretty cool but maybe some dirt jumps or something would be cool 😀 Thanks 👍
  7. Had some good fun in my this video bashin until it breaks!!😀 Lol
  8. Had some fun trying to fit a new drive gear to my FTX outback ranger. Then blew up it's motor 😂😂

There is a slight dent in the top of the radio too however this does not affect anything. This car is a joy to drive as it is nice and stable and therefore great to jump, I have enjoyed having it and driving it and I hope if you buy it you will too!! Thanks for looking
  10. I've had my outback for a few years now and I love it ? it's such a nice thing to work on and to drive. I've made a video of it at broadwater Warren in East Sussex, feel free to subscribe to my channel if you want ?
  11. Some Easter madness with my mostly stock midnight pumpkin ?feel free subscribe to my channel?
  12. You are right, I think we should draw this thread to a close as it isn't really going anywhere useful anymore. Thanks for all the replies ?
  13. Ok thanks ? I think I'll look out for a good used slash 4x4 or something
  14. I own a ECX torment 4x4 though and it's £30 for a new diff when I could get the Traxxas diff gear for £12. This is why I want to change my car and why I started up a thread on this forum about if Traxxas were good. Are there other brands with cheap parts, a large online following and aftermarket parts?
  15. They seem like the only company with really available spares and a large online following thought?
  16. If you have any 1.75 cheap that would be great but no worries if you don't
  17. Hi guys just starting up a new YouTube channel 👍 and would be greatfull for any more subscribers. Check out my videos if you want... Or don't 😂 ? Here's the link: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCTv3IAEAU7rtmJQ-ExI42sQ?view_as=subscribepan widget
  18. Does the transmitter include the Bluetooth module?
  19. I think they should have multiple options for example complete beginner that knows nothing about RC so they get a easy charger and stuff for a higher price, and then there should be a more advanced model that does not come with a battery and charger and lets you put your own brushless system in for less money. They tried to do that with the slash ultimate however the price rocketed on that!!
  20. I tried to repair and shim my mashed up front diff from my ecx torment 4x4 to save me £30 for a new one!!! You might see that the teeth close to the camera are all rounded off compared to the others
  21. You are exactly right about the brushless system made by Traxxas, look at this : https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F283319642226 £160 for a Traxxas brushless system!!!! That's crazy I might as well buy a Traxxas VXL car sell the vxl system and buy an amazing hobbywing system.
