  1. Hi , yeah would defo recommend it , it’s so fast I have crashed it a few times . Tbh I haven’t used it a lot and found it hard to start at first but slackened off glow plug a bit and it starts better , servos are ok !
  2. Hi , I bought a hyper 30 first nitro last year ,started first time then I struggled to get it running at all . Has been sitting all winter with fuel in after reading a post from 1111 advising how to start I followed this advice and it fired first time . From what I remember if I every got it started it was all over the place and will need some tuning also read they will require a lot of tuning from factory, hope this helps
  3. Hi am just up the road from silverburn , so just back from trying to break the engine in Got about 2/3 tanks but basically ended up adjusting the mid speed needle buy mistake! at first engine was all over the place reving up buy itself /cutting out I tried my best to adjust needles to get it to run but can tell it’s not right .starts fine and idles nice but loads of smoke on throttle and cuts out on full throttle ! And after a few minutes both rear shocks dumped all there oil they seem to have unscrewed and the seal came out looks light not built/tighten from new ! So looks like I need to do some more research on tuning !
  4. Thanks for the detailed advice ! Yeah I see there are many different Methods, see one guy Reving on the stand for the first tank might try that then a few tanks on/off throttle not going over the top !
  5. Hi , not sure about method been reading about it , think drive straight away though and not idle for first tank, prob 4/5 tanks building up revs then try and tune .also not sure if best to let engine cool at bottom dead centre after each tank ?
  6. Thanks I will do that then ! Fitted black spoiler , areial and hyper ss mud guards ,paired transmitter ready for engine break in now ! Only thing was with the steering centre ,one wheel was way out , I had to screw the toe ajuster / turnbuckle a good bit to get it straight the other side was straight . And my fast track glow igniter has been on charge all day and the battery meter is on zero hasn’t moved ! Any tips for engine break in ? https://www.dropbox.com/sc/y0nxtfzbyc10dki/AAD4fs211BIY9klnZljaNLx2a
  7. Thanks, contacted seller apparently the latest ones don’t come with them got a £15 refund ! Not off to a good start also got the wrong fuel RTR instead of the race , sending out the race Monday free off charge , started the black out, got a black areial tube black spoiler and ss side mud guards just waiting on some nuts and bolts to fit them . Do you think I will be ok breaking in engine with the 25 % rtr and then switching to the race ? Also what’s best way to post pics directly on to post rather than a link
  8. Hi mate I have been up there once just went to the visitor center and up to the first turbine ! Never thought of it for bashing thanks !
  9. https://www.dropbox.com/sc/evna0inaakq6jg2/AAAVR5FZAhcqe6r3X2FcQAina First time posting pics don’t know if it will work ! Got buggy tonight looks good I have ordered all the other stuff now to get it going ! The transmitter looks quite cheap but only takes four batteries i read eight . Notromad1980 can’t wait now you have said how fast it is ! Quick question it has come with two hobao servos but on the e bay add i got it from and the box it says /shows savox servos is this normal what did you get ?
  10. Hi ordered my first rc , hobao hyper vs 30 and looking for some good bashing spots in Glasgow . Was thinking pollock /roukengken / queens / barshaw park any surrgestions welcomes thanks
  11. Hi , looking for some advice on the best type of batteries for my new hobao hyper vs 30 nitro ,the transmitter takes 4 , the receiver is 4 . I was going to convert them both with a hump/stick packs but seen Duracell ultra rechargeables . I will be a light user so not sure of best options any advice welcome thanks
  12. Will do haven’t posted photos on a forum for years do you have to host them first ?
  13. Thanks , think I will go with optifuel 25% race ,can’t find any info on glow plugs , hope buggy will be here on Wednesday then I will put in an order prob from modelsport for fuel / spare glow plugs /igniter and maby measure up the receiver box and transmitter and see if I can get hump battery packs and a charger . Cactus I loved the hpi truggy from the start the size of the thing and the fact it could prob go anywhere! But the more I researched the hyper range seems bullet proof and cheaper for spares , so the vs being the newest model though why not , better hide the bank statements from the wife think this is going get expensive!!
  14. Hi after wanting an rc car since I was about ten , , I have finally purchased one . After many months of research , changing my mind from a hpi trophy truggy to the hobao hyper range . I had my heart set on a hyper ss , prob for the looks , all black , but then came across the hyper vs not much info out there but thought it is the newer model . So far I have order the buggy 30 in red , hyper ss black mud Flaps , and black spoiler and a stand . I have made a large shopping list of other essentials as long as your arm ! but will order them when the car arrives . I can’t seem to find any info on best glow plugs for the 30 engine or fuel if anybody can recommend, think I am looking forward to working on the buggy more than driving it if thay makes sense ! Any info on the new vs from owners would be appreciated thanks !!
