  1. Go for it. Did the same to mine a few years ago. Far more fun now :oD http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=44754&hl=madbull&st=0
  2. That I do not deny. Was not me that took it too far though and made it personal, others must take the credit for that
  3. Nick, this was never meant to be a slight on you personally, nor on the way the forum is run. It is normally such a friendly forum (although i doubt SmoothyBB is feeling the love right now). Nor is it a slight on the prizes that have been given away to date, of which there have been some belters. You take peoples money and in return offer a list of benifits (in black [grey] and white). In the current litigation lead society you need to be careful about offering something that you are not supplying. It is in your own iterest to make sure something is offered to the Gods on a monthly basis (even if it is of low financial outlay, and will not break the budget). Not all prizes have to be headline grabbers. I would hate for all of the effort that is put in by all of the staff and mods to threatened on a technicality. I hope you see this as constructive critisism, and read it in the spirit that it is meant.
  4. Nit picky... Maybe, but if it says Monthly, then it should be monthly, or don't say monthly. I would be interested to know if the models come out of the forum budget, or if they are donated by benevolent manufacturers.
  5. All of the prizes were drawn, I do not have a problem with that. My beef is that there was not a model prize in April and May (only
  6. I am currently undecided about whether to re-new my subscription. The last few year I have automatically renewed, but this year I feel like I would be short changed. The largest issue that is stopping me is that the "Prize RC Models drawn every month! Savages, Revos, SC10s and more!" does not look like it is going to happen. There were a couple of months last year (April and May) when no RC model was drawn. Looking at the 2012 draws, only March has a model up for grabs, with no visability past then. Don't get me wrong, this is a great forum, and i am happy to support it, but if something is stated as going to hapen, please do it.
  7. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/15730-electric-guide/ may be of help.
  8. Seb As Garry says, go for the better batteries and charger as these will give you better performance. EZrun combos are selling for around £60 on ebay, so brushless is not unrealistic.
  9. A great little boat, and a proper rocket. Ebay link
  10. Cheers for the replies. It was the <img src... bit I was after. Many thanks
  11. I know there is a post somewhere which says how to do this, but i cant find it. I could do with a gentle reminder please.
  12. The Plastic Darlek type compost bins should still be able to produce reasonable compost. The only thing with them is they work at a lower temperature, so you have to be a bit more careful (avoid putting in things like roots from perennial weeds etc). I run 2 plastic composters together in a 2 year cycle, and have always had decent compost out. The first one i fill with general warden waste. Avoid putting just grass cuttings is as this will turn to black sludge. Always try to mix green waste (e.g. grass cuttings etc.) evenly with brown waste (eg Plant stems, chipped wood, cardboard etc). Avoid compressing the contents of the bin, the microbes that do all of the work need plenty of air. In spring I empty this out and transfer the contents into the second bin (anything still green and fresh goes back in to kick start the next cycle of compost) The second bin is a finishing off bin. In spring, i empty the finished product out to make way for the contents of bin 1. The contents of bin 1 are transferred to to bin 2, least rotted at the bottom, most rotted at the top. This them gets left until the following spring.
  13. Surely if you were going to release your new product to the world, you would find a shell that fits? "V10Kit V10 World GT Car - Caterham 10th scale Due 2011 £109.95" I can see that becoming a popular shell
  14. I know the feeling, I have the same problem with next doors chav cat. I have a couple of ultrasonic deterrents (Like these)that worked, but the cat went deaf (too much chav BnD). Have now got a water squirter (Like this), that has worked a treat ) Cats do not like water (or bags with bricks in... cough, or shot guns.... cough cough) Anyhow my progress to date this year:- Courgettes - Put out too early and hit by the frost, not dead but not looking too well Tomatoes - Going very well. Need to clear the greenhouse of non-hardy annuals and get them properly going. Trying some trailing hanging basket types this year aswell. Onions and garlic - Going very well (except the ones the girlfriend put in upside down) Peppers - Also going well under glass, about ready to pot on. Cucumbers - Plants doing well, but need to get into grow-bags Beetroot - Outside after being set-off in greenhouse, doing well. Carrots - Just braking through. Spuds - need to earth up, but growing well (reduced number this year and limited to containers after poor harvests the last 2 years) Strawberry (in pots)- Have done well for being over-wintered in the greenhouse. On second crop of alpines and main-crop are fruiting well. Will be a shame to kick them outside, but need to make room for the tomatoes. Lettuce - Have started to recover from the great drought (forgot to water them for a few weeks). Fortunately they have not bolted. The plants in the garden seem to have missed the frost, so all good. Runner Beans, Sweetcorn, fennel, spinach - Will grow better if I get the seeds out of the packet.
  15. "Come on-road action, off-road bashing or holiday beach cursing - Pro-Line got you covered." I am looking forward to doing some holiday beach cursing
  16. Is it realated to this? BBC Link
  17. They are not the correct ones. The MadBull ones are held in place by splines rather than pins. You need to look for Tamiya Part number 9805337 Link
  18. Brushless in a Mad Bull is great is an out of control way ) My Mad Bull
  19. I assume it is a TT-01. If it is, there is plenty of useful information here Link The key points are fitting bearings (why do Tamiya still supply nylon brushes with kits????)and the upgraded prop-shaft. These are easier to fit while you are building it, rather than taking it apart to fit them later.
  20. If you have an ac.uk email address, you can get the full version of AutoCAD free for 3 years --->Link
  21. I have the DMC-FZ28 which is the older model. The body of the camera is much smaller (and lighter) than an SLR (and you don't have to carry half a ton of additional lenses). I found it a happy compromise between an SLR and a stick it in your pocket compact.
  22. That is way over priced. Tamiya seem to live in the 80s. It seams these days that they rely on nostalgia rather than innovation. Why would someone spend
  23. Ok, fair enough. Not a shelf queen, just something to store them with so they look complete. Now I get it.
  24. Is it not 5 negatives in the last year (of which 3 are from the same person, and another was a Canadian who brought something that uses 240V)? 99.7% is pretty good going. How well are these trucks rated?
