Hi Guys. The Ecs in my savage flux is dead so im in need of another, must be 6s capable and be able to run a 2200kv motor. if anyone has one for sale then please let me no before i buy new. Cheers

my slash 4x4 has a castle/mamba monster x combo which is 4s capable but i have never bothered running 4s as 3s is plenty quick enough. might have to try it soon though just out of interest. i imagine 3s in a 2wd will be a bit wild

i recently got myself a used slash 4x4 ultimate with loads of upgrades and the thing is brilliant for bashing, really quick on 3s, not tried it on 4s yet. my poor savage flux hasn't had a run out since i got it. i haven't tried a score so couldn't comment on that but i'm sure you would be happy with the slash for bashing.

Just a quick update: I changed the caps out and still nothing so it looks like it is dead. Unfortunately now on the hunt for a new esc. Considering taking the mamba x out of my slash

Is there a way of testing a motor without an esc?

Didn't realise it was the motor that beeper. I do normally get a red and green light on the esc though. Will try to get some pics up later

the receiver is brand new and was out on its first run, it was plugged in fine and i was getting power to it from the esc and i had steering. i forgot to mention that the fan would still work when the batteries were connected but no light on esc and no beeps (normally 4 or 6 depending on what batteries i use) had a look at the circuit board and i cant see anything obvious except for 2 of the 3 capacitors do have a bit of movement if touched.

Looks like i may need to replace as im not getting anything from it when i connect the batteries

so i was out bashing the savage earlier and i had a small ish crash/roll, when i turned it back over i had no throttle at all but still had steering. i took off the shell to find that i had no light on the esc anymore and when i disconnected and then reconnected the batteries it did not do its usual light up and beeps. im thinking that the esc is shot but thought i would ask you guys if there is anything i can do/try first. my esc is a Hobbywing Ezrun 150a pro. If it turns out that the esc is dead then should i replace with the same or is there anything else that you guys recommend? Cheers Marc

Gave it a try and no luck, range is still rubbish. Can't see any damage so haven't got a clue what's happened to it

i cant see any damage to the antenna, it is possible that the rx has got wet though, i doubt that it is water proof actually, thanks for your help

Hi Guys, i have a Hobao 2.4 Ghz tx rx that i use for my savage, it has been working fine until recently and now for some reason it has about a 50m range and then just dies, all batteries have been changed but no improvement. i just wondered if anyone has had the same issue or has any pointers that i can try. A friend of mine was looking for one of these for his boy, i will send him in this direction

so i had a delivery on Monday which consisted of new bevel gears for my diff, 30k and 60k diff oils, diff seals and metalic blue tamiya paint. Today the postie brought me a new ford f150 shell. The savage now has a fresh new rear diff and smart new body.

yeah im going to grab a 20t this week and see if it fits with the 52 spur, if not i will just order a 44t to go with it. i imagine it shouldnt cause any heat issues as that is standard?

I'm not sure a 23t will fit with the 52 spur. The motor is quite far over already with the 17
