  1. Thanks for the other responses, all great info!
  2. Thanks for the advice, great to hear your success with the MT10, still my favourite option. I have three spare motors, 4900kv, 4300kv or a 2050KV 4060 size, if one would fit? and ECUs, servos, so will definitely consider the brushed version if there are no other differences. The devil on my shoulder likes the look of the Outcast 4s at £430, but no centre diff is a surprise! Son says must be a 4x4 MT or truggy style, I agree! Thanks for now. Ian
  3. Hi everyone, Hope RC is treating you well! My kids wanted to spend Xmas money on a new rig, and I have been eyeing the MT10 up for a couple of years. I'm shocked at the price increase. If my memory is correct they were selling for £250ish, now they will be £330 when next in stock? Does anyone know what the reasons for the increase, I haven't been keeping up with the RC news? What really appealed was the the durability and lightweight plastic ness of it. My kids are still learning and I don't really what them sending a heavy truck into each other. They are trying jumps and flips, so it does need to be tough. But at £330 is it still the best option? I have spare 1/8 & 1/10 motors and electrics, are there better Roller options or pay a bit more for something else, so confused! Many thanks Ian
  4. Thanks Mark, Awesome! Nice paint scheme!
  5. Hi All, I have an FTX Mauler and wanted to change the steering links to a bent one, the standard link hits the diff pumpkin and limits the steering travel. Can anyone confirm if one of the bent links from an Outback Fury etc would fit and not spoil the geometry? Many thanks Ian
  6. Hi Mate, Dont have a plus, just an flux xt. It looks like the bearing needs pushing flush into the diff housing, this should allow the cup to slide further onto the shaft. Its that way on the Flux. Good luck! Ian
  7. Is this the kind of surplus gear better sold on Ebay than MS forum?
  8. Opps! Good catch, thank you. Looks like its only a 3 channel receiver, not transmitter! It's the standard one that comes with the mauler, the LEDS plug into the 3CH on the receiver. Many thanks Ian
  9. Hi All, Just bought a FTX Mauler and didn't want another transmitter etc taking up space. FTX8178 3CH transmitter FTX8801 Brushed ESC & Receiver and bind link. FTX8179UK wall charger FTX 2000MAH 7.2v NIMH Only wired up to test it all is working, not used in the car. You will need a motor, servo and 4AA's to have a complete system. £30, posted.
  10. A brushless sensored motor costs way more by the looks of things, not budget anyway. Cheers
  11. Thankyou both for the replies, Ill set the cut off to 3.2v before next use, good catch! I'm guessing I cannot connect a brushed motor it this ECU, its brushless & sensored? OHO, What makes it unsuitable, is the the brushless bit? Looks as though £35 would get me a 1060 & motor, so not much of an issue in the end? Many thanks Ian
  12. Hi All, I am looking into getting our first crawler, mostly for when out walking with the kids? I'm unsure if I should RTR or use parts I have; A Dumbo 6ch TX & RX with lights. 2s&3s lipos, servos. Hobbyking 120A ECU (flashed with HobbyWing firmware) with the options in the screenshots, could it be programmed for crawling? So would only need a motor if the ECU is suitable. Cheers Ian
  13. Welcome! I just received some spare arms; https://www.modelsport.co.uk/maverick-suspension-arm-set/rc-car-products/1330850 And can confirm they are the new improved version. For £8 I would purchase at the same time as the car. If you do buy one let me know ill post you some washers, also follow the pre run advice on YTube. Cheers Ian
