  1. a receiver pack and 2 servos for my hyper st build
  2. It was last night but got my new hyper st pro made up as much as I could without engine and electrics, also rebuilt my fireblade evo still go still need to order new electrics for this one.
  3. ah haven't heard about this I have a 6.0v 1600mah Nimh Receiver Pack coming for mine hopefully today so hope it fits ok. How do you guys hold your battery packs in? looking ahead in the manual and doesnt seem to be that much holding it in?
  4. Thank you Si Coe, that looks great, is there much difference between the uk sorced one or the Chinese one? Can afford the Chinese one now and probably the U.K. One in a week or 2. That sounds great love the idea of 20-30mins run time you were lucky if you got 5-10 with the old set up if I remember right. That's cool think I will be getting a few lipos in the end for the electric cars, do you recommend a decent charger? Thanks again, excited I might actually get this going some point soon, have been having fun building and repairing everything but can't wait to finally get out and drive one of them.
  5. The pro kit does come with a pipe, am just making one up at the moment.
  6. The last of the screws came today so managed to put the fireblade back together. have rebuilt the diff and shocks but want to get a new diff and housing when i can. Unfortuantly this is probably it for this buggy for a couple of months at least as i don't have any working electronics for it.
  7. Have got the build as far as I can for now. Hopefully the electronics will come tomorrow so i can get that fitted then just waiting on the engine which i will order on payday With the body, I did start the masking ready for painting then remembered I need to cut more holes once the engine is fitted.
  8. Thanks again got that in, seem to be missing more screws now for holding the wing holder on but have to get back to work so will look for them again later.
  9. Great thanks Locky, currantly trying to get the front brace fitted seems about 5mm too long but sure it must go in somehow.
  10. The build is going well sofar except one peace missing or lost by me a shaft to hold one of the rear hubs on, hopefully I will find it in a bag somewhere but will try and find somewhere to order some from just in case, thankfully I can carry on with out it for now tho. Also so looking for some advice there is a grub screw in each of the lower arms that I guess are there to stop them from dropping to much. I was wondering how these should be set to start with? Currently they are in but level with the bottom of the lower arm so not really doing much. Thanks
  11. Thank you. By the looks of it i have got the pro kit but with the rtr manual and box.
  12. Yeah the mardaves were great I started racing with one then moved on to 1/10th and then went on to rave the mardaves at the same time as they were such great fun. Am pretty sure they still make them and race them not too far away from me so will have to get it going again.
  13. So have received the kit and have started to build it up and already hit a problem :/ i have made the frount and rear diff the centre came already assembled. I have started making the frount gear box and this is where I'm stuck I have put the gearbox together and started to add the shock mounts but have completely different parts to the manual they show one molded plastic part I have a few plastic and metal bits. The parts I have how the manual says and how I think it might go but still seems wrong. Any surgestions or if you have this truggy some pics of its front end would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Thanks, thanks yeah did love it at the time don't think it was run too much tho there wasn't much to clean on it. Hope to get it running again but with the newer brushless once I have worked it out. I'm getting a nitro truggy which should be here some point today but just for bashing, am not sure if I will have time to race again with work but if there is a local club I might look in to doing a bit over the winters as I normally have more time then.
  15. So the speed controller on the buggy is dead, haven't tested the moter yet but has lots of corrosion on the top, I do have a speed controller that works in a on road car but still need a new motor and battery for that so thinking it's probably best to just go brushless and lipos in both, does any one have any surgestions on what I should be looking at for the motor and speed controller?
  16. Today's hopefully the day that the kit arrives can't wait to get started on the build. I have ordered the transmitter, a receiver, battery pack for the electronics and the servoes which should all come tomorrow. Am going to have to wait till pay day to order the engine and other nitro parts but should be able to get it running by early Feb. Will update once I have started the build.
  17. I have now stripped down the tc4 rebuilt the diffs and it is in really good condition considering its been sat in the basement for the past 12-13 years. Just testing the electronics but hope to have it running soon.
  18. Thanks that is what I ended up doing in the end. Yeah think the battery has truly had had it won't even bother checking that guessing the esc is too as it has been plugged in the whole time it was stored but will test it tomorrow. I will try and test the moter too can't remember it being used much but has been sat there awhile. I dont have much cash at the moment as spending it all getting my new nitro truggy going but will go brushless probably once I can afford it/ if my bits don't work. Any surgestions on what I need to be looking at with brushless and lipos as they weren't really about when I was doing it last. Thanks
  19. So i have got the fireblade in bits now and have a list of bits i need to get to get it working again but dont have a clue what i need to be getting in the way off esc, motor and batteries really any ideas?
  20. Haha so it is the name wasn't even on the box in front of me when I posted lol mine was a bit like a bird tho the amount it was jumped. That's good to hear the car is in a lot better condition then I thought it would be just need the driveshaft for the back, some screws to replace a couple of rounded off ones and a new shell. Then I have to start working out all the new types of moters, esc's and battery's has moved on abit since my last go. Edit, Just wondering if anyone has any tips for filling this type of shock up? Do i fill the bit on the left then push the piston in and let the air out and close or start with the piston in fill let the air out and close?
  21. So after recently getting back in to the hobby after a 10ish year break I decided to go and pick up all my old cars whilst I wait for my new kit to come. I do hope to get most of the cars working again tho don't know if I will ever get the time to race them like I used too. The first car which was my first go a racing with rc cars a 1/12 mardave this was great fun to race. the second is a rc lab 7-6.0 ether pro or evo have both boxes as I did buy one for spares at the time. The next 2 are team associated tc3 racer and tc4 team thanks for looking.
  22. So far on the firebird I have taken all the electronics and motor out, shocks have been taken off to be rebuilt only have 40 and 50wt oil for them at them moment but that will do to see if the shocks still work. Also found I need new bearings all round and have a bent on the back so will need to get a new one off them hope I can find spares for it.
  23. So have just got back from picking up all my old cars, I do have a new truggy kit coming so not sure when I will have time to work on these but hoping to get them running again especially the Schumacher. On to the the cars I found 2 buggys my old firebird and my brothers lightning 1/8th nitro I have never run this one myself so have no idea what if anything is wrong with it. The Schumacher firebird evo it seems to be in better condition then I remember and reckon a rebuild and some new electrics and it will be good but will see when I start taking it apart The lightning 2 like I said earlier I don't know anything about this car and don't have a clue about nitro at the moment. Seems in good condition tho. thanks for looking and if anyone has any info about these cars that would be great and will try and update this thread with any work I do to the cars.
  24. Yeah I shall do getting really excited about it all now, do remember that they are all broken in some way so will be interesting to see if any can be saved. You have some cool cars there think I have seen a striker before, tho mine are a bit newer think they would be late 90s early 00s. there should be a mardave stock type which was my first taste of racing then a couple team associate touring cars anoither touring one I can't remember the make of, a Schumacher fireblade evo that I would love to get going again but remember trashing it most of the time just jumped it as high as I could most of the time. My brothers old nitro might be there too but never played with that one.
  25. Yeah sounds much better, am going to pick up all my old cars and tools tomorrow hopefully so might have a few running in a little while.
