Hi, I have spent the best part of today trying to get my old hot bodys lightning 2 running have had it almost going but not properly but now i'm having the problem where the rotor start is spinning but not turning the engine over. I thought it was flooded so took the glow plug out and the rotor start would turn the engine over easily, put the glow start back in and it would just spin and not turn the engine over? Have also noticed a air bubble that stays just before the fuel filter which i think is also making starting hard what is the best way to get rid of any air bubbles in the fuel line? Thanks

Thanks, sounds like a good idea. Just need to find a local club now and see what they run, any surgestions on what to look at electronics wise? Used to always race in the stock class and would probably want to do the same now.

Sounds good. I currently have one of the monster ones tho not been rebuilt for over 12 years in my fireblade until I can go brushless in it. Might have to get one of the rebuilt ones for my mardave.

Well I feel stupid just found the air filter support in the only bag I hadn't opened in with the clutch parts and engine mount.

Hi all, so have been thinking more and more that I would like to get back in to racing at some point and was wondering if my old team associated tc4 would still be any good? I need to buy all new electronics as well so not sure if it's worth doing for my old car or just get something newer? Thanks

Took my old mardave out for the first time in 10+ years, Think the old 27T brushed motor i put in it might be a bit much as it just span out with anything over half throttle Now going to pull the electrics out of there and going to put it in my old fireblade evo and see if i can get that going for tomorrow.

I have emailed them and no reply yet, will try calling them tho. Thanks that was my guess might order it anyway to save time. I have been missing a couple of parts unless i find them at the end but they seem to be parts that should of been in the bags i have so seems odd that just they are missing. so far i'm missing 2 screws to hold the wing mount on, a shaft to hold a hub on and the air filter support. I do have loads of spares of other bits tho.

So after some playing around i managed to get some of the older electrics working and decided to get it put in to the mardave and have now got that running, have been having great fun driving it around my house tho don't think the dog is as impressed.

Ah yeah so it does, do you know what size it is? It doesn't say what size fits and they don't supply one. Edit, think I have found some on eBay that should fit.

Do you run a on/off switch between the battery and receiver?

Think i have got that made up right, I'm missing the plastic part on top of the diff i think its the air filter holder? so will have to order one of them by the looks of it. The engine was sent this morning so will hopefully be here some point next week so will continue the build then.

So have just been able to order the engine, went with the LRP z.28 Spec 3, what would be the best glow plugs to get for it?

Yeah doesn't seem the best really. It fits in but waiting on my receiver then will see if it does, think it might of you don't have a switch between the battery and receiver or have it somewhere else as that's meant to be in the box too.

Mine isn't just a cover you cable tie the battery too.

Received my servos and receiver battery pack today. Does any one know the name of the connecter on the battery as my charger has crocodile clips on it and think the battery connector is a little too small to charge safely.
