  1. Hey buddy, text me on 07904489794 regarding DBXL upgrades Cheers if you need a vouch ask evssv
  2. Spoke to one of your team and you added the products to your site, thanks
  3. Hey bud, Any interest in Alloy Centre diff Mount and adjustable calipers? Got some other bits and bats too, please text on 07904489794 if any interest, dont check forums much Thanks
  4. Hope you get some real fun out of it!! i love mine, was my first largescale. then had doubts and recently bought 5ive after giving in to all the good feedback from others here, the 5ive is a great truck, but doesnt give me anywhere near as much pleasure to drive as the DBXL. I would defo recommend swapping out the diff oils asap, i went for 100k in centre 60k in front and 30k in rear, it handles like a totallly different car, so damn pleasurable to drive. Have Losi worked on the driveshafts on latest batches of DBXLs? Not had any issues with pins after a fair few hours of hard love and lots of other bits failing but not shaft related. maybe just luck. I did however have to replace the steering servos on both DBs after circa an hours use, both stripped the nylon internals. savox 0240s have been excellent since. Final upgrade ive really liked is the 29cc ESP head kit, feels like a lovely balance of power with my samba pipe not too savage but plenty?
  5. Thanks Spoke to Area, seems i have to get RC Modelz to stock the cases as they wont sell to me any other way. Fingers crossed as they are waaay too expensive from rc-car-online.de Alternatively FID cases i think? While we are on Area products, has anyone tried the Area 5mm chassis? seems a steal at 72 quid for 7075? makes me wonder whats wrong with it!
  6. Hey DBXLers, Happy New Year! Has anyone tried these: https://rc-car-online.de/en/products/jan_2017_48-area-xl033-ball-drive-shafts-for-losi-dbxl-offer-01-17.html I like the design, was just hoping to hear from someone who had already taken the plunge! Cheers!
  7. Thanks, unfortunately rcmodelz dont seem to stock those cases, they are excellent on area RC prices though. However they are out of stock of most Area parts
  8. Hey guys, would anyone know anything about why AREA RCs website is down? (domain hasnt been renewed). Really hoping they havent gone belly up just as i had just decided they were going to be the supplier for my DBXL billet part needs! Does anyone know where these are in stock in the UK by chance while im here? Thanks!
  9. Hey DBXL owners! Recently got into 1/5 scale after being diagnosed with a spinal disease which has halted my Quad Supermoto racing, got myself a couple of DBXLs based on hearing about their value for money fun! A big part of my requirement when choosing which 1/5 scale was being able to afford more than one car so that i could invite friends to join the fun without committing financially etc. Since getting my cars ive convinced a good friend to get involved and he has done the same (see pics) Have just entered into my quieter time of year with work so thought i would come say hello as ill hoping be getting some time to play with my new toys very soon! Looking for advice on how to cost effectively upgrade them for reliability if anyone could help please So far based on advice from Nigel at Freeprawn they have been treated to super bee kill switches, samba pipes, Savox SW0240MG steering servos and 2300ah lipos. also quite interested in having a crack at the racing scene in the not too distant future, i know DBXLs are frowned upon for racing but im happy to crawl around at the back for the time being! Ive been advised by someone who used i know through single seater racing to go and watch an event at the Nene Valley track which im planning to do ASAP to learn more!! Really just looking for DBXL advice and to meet anyone with any 1/5 scale who wants to meet up for fun, im based near Bicester! Thanks in advance
