  1. Ahh right I see, are they any good them kits? Yeah the Losi tray will just mount straight up (Although it being a shorter Hyper 7 chassis i'm not sure about if you have to drill holes in them) I don't really get what the plate is supposed to achieve? Does it just use the engine mount points and makes them into a battery mount?
  2. Good to see the brain is still working then lol. I have a 47t spur installed so should be good for clearance... I hope
  3. What's the mounting plate? Which tray have you got? From memory there are like 3 mounting standoffs on the bottom of the losi tray that line up with 3 holes on the ST chassis (Two on the nitro engine mounts, one near the steering post)
  4. Hmm feel like i'm missing out not buying one of these. Look really fun. How's it going together?
  5. Slowly but definently. Would have been done ages ago if I wasn't saving up for my next car. Well the next time you see this birdy tell him thank you
  6. Now that I have ditched the nitro set up, thought I would continue this thread in the leccy section. Got a rubbish temp motor mount in the spares box so dicided to chuck it on for now to see how it all fits. First time ordering from RCMart and was very impressed. Ordered a PowerHD 20KG Waterproof servo and it turnt up in 4 days! Was expecting at least 10 working days. Just today with a little bit of trimming got the Mugen MBX6T side guards on. Managed to fit both sides which I am really happy about as I was worried the new body wouldn't fit. Just cable tied the rear a arm guards that came with them to the rear and they fit quite well too. Hong Nor shocks have finally been given the support they needed badly with some 95mm Kyosho red springs. Front feels perfect. I still think the rears could do with longer springs though. Going to strip, clean and reoil the shocks too at some point. Got a 6S combo in the post as well as the Losi 8 battery tray so what ever comes first will be the next job! Getting close to being done now, just need some batteries and a charger! Matt
  7. Out of the three you have linked I would go for the Firestorm. As you say they are indeed a very valued and looked at car. Parts support everywhere, plenty of aftermarket upgrades avalible to make them even stronger. I haven't got any real life experience with them though so I could be talking out my.... Although I would defo get one given the opportunity
  8. I tried my old truggy on 8s for a little while, as soon as I went full throttle it just blew 3 tires off the rims and there was foam everywhere. Now I stick to 4s as that's fast enough for me... for now... Looking good now though mate. Just need to get out there and enjoy it
  9. Slowly getting it into shape. Should be extending the garage soon so hopefully will have room for more goodies and a rc only zone.
  10. The way I see it is. There isn't much weight up front so the smaller tires have a better chance of digging into the surface over the large ones. The large ones will spread the weight out over the surface a lot more meaning they'll tend to float ontop rather than dig in. I'd personally try and add some counter weight onto the chassis at the front and see how it goes? Although i've never had a firestorm so I don't know for sure lol
  11. @jamesb I'd be interested in the motor, and the ESC if I knew what it was
  12. The big debate! Chinese vs Indian... What to order?

      • Delivery Times: Ordered at 1920. Arrived at 1942. Very impressed
      • Food Quality: Among the best I have ever had. Chicken balls were melt in the mouth, duck was cooked to perfection, crispy spring rolls were crispy!
      • Temperture On Arrival: Fresh out of the wok! Almost burnt my self on the sweet and sour sauce.

      Any more information wanted Sergeant?

  13. Still looking, Cash Waiting!
  14. What size straps fit the Losi 8 battery tray? Doesn't look like it comes with any?

      Thank you sir

  15. Got them ordered yesterday morning from Mugen's site. How did you find out they had to come from Germany?
  16. @turok007 What's the diameter where the CVD goes into on the TA RC8T wheel hexes. Thinking they might go on the ST PM'd!
  17. Went on there earlier and tried to order some but it wouldn't work. I'll try on the computer in the morning
  18. Hmm not sure they'll fit to be honest. Only got 3 holes, the Hyper ST has 4. Don't really want to be drilling the chassis out. Cheers though!
  19. Do they still do the same job as the Mugen ones? I.e being wider than the stock ST ones and fitting quite nicely
  20. Looking for a left hand side truggy length Mugen MBX6/7 side guard. Using it for a Hyper ST conversion. Matt
  21. As kev said above, I wouldn't bother looking at these. If you're looking to upgrade then sometbing like a converted Hyper 7 (easy to convert, or there's a few for sale on fleebay) would be your best bet as they don't need any upgrading at all. Does it have to be 4wd? If not then have a look at HPI's Firestorm. Very very well received in the community too
  22. £50 all in, it's in as good of condition as it gets without going brand new. Welcome to PM me an offer
  23. I've got a very powerful .28 engine with everything with it, pipe, air filter, ally clutch, pull start, only just been broken in really up for sale. Would be perfect for your needs
  24. To be honest mate the servo is entirely up to you. You'd be gaining about 4KG of force. In something like the trophy the 11KG servo you have at the moment would be sufficient. I only have a 9kg steering in the much heavier Hyper ST. Also again if you want to spend the money and get the 17mm parts now go a head. If not then wait until you know what you're doing with your wheel choice Just my 2 pence
