  1. Wondering if anyone has any 4S Hardcase packs that would be suitable for a 150a ESC. Minimum specs being 5000Mah and 40C. Would like 2. Budget of around £80, might be able to stretch it a bit more if the right ones come up Cheers Matt
  2. I'd just stick some 800 grit wet and dry to a pane of glass and manually sand it down
  3. Very impressed with that website. Charger turnt up today in very good packaging and hopfully in working order although I can test it yet until my PSU arrives
  4. Ordered! Hopefully will all be okay. Thanks for sending me that I thought them chargers were only available in the 60w version.
  5. Yeah spoke to MyDoddy about them and he doesn't want to split them which is fair enough. I can't really justify the price for what I need :/ That other charger you linked on the other hand would be perfect to tide me over for a good while until I get something better. Have you ordered from that site before? Cheers
  6. After a lipo charger as above. I would like the specs to be atleast 200w (250 would be better) and able to charge 6S packs. Something similar to or even the Turnigy Reaktor 250W 10A charger would be perfect. Cash waiting Cheers Matt
  7. Not to mention the fact that it has a good 6mm of body filler around the entire car. Or the fact that it's been crashed, rusted out and generally not far off scrap value xD I love my jap crap, but that is kinda rank. Depending on the state that my Corsa is in behind the damage i'm looking into getting one of these as a replacement either now, or Octorber time if my car is alright
  8. Can't believe what happened tonight.

Approached the roundabout turning right all nice and proper. Saw a car on the left thinking he would stop. But oh no. I just cleared the roundabout and bam straight into the side of me at full speed... ffs...!!

That's the problem no one drives like anyone else. So you get everyone trying to do the same thing their own different way which just ends up causing problems like this.

It was an Asian bloke coming home from work in a 06 plate Zafira that hit my poor Corsa :(

I clouted someone a few years back on a roundabout.  They we're in the left lane, clearly marked one of two lefts (1st one an entrance to a business park) or straight on only.  I was in the right lane, which was marked straight over or right.  My lane was moving very well, left lane was crawling.  I'm happily taking the exit straight over and saw the car in the left lane turn into me - glancing impact I was doing a fair chat (well within the limit) - he ended up upside down down the culvert off the roundabout, I ended up in the dead ground between the up / down straight on - wedged between two signs - all the maneuvering I could do not to hit them head on.

Plod came, guy said his sat Nav said take the 3rd exit and he never saw the first minor left exit so decided at the last minute to carry on round (no indication not that that would have mattered).  Was asked if I wanted to make a complaint, said no, other driver admitted full culpability to plod and was therefore given a caution only.  Biggest hassle from it was the hire company trying to fob me off with a petrol zafira for my 1 series diesel (got an upgrade to a new off forecourt 320D) and then bodywork place trying to fob me off for damage to drivers side - minor only and caused by the signage I got stuck between.  Other drivers insurance company we're excellent though - bunging me ££ left right and centre to settle with them and not involve the blame / claim parasites.

Had one today. just come out of the city main centre onto the outer ring road. was first at the left turn only at traffic lights , being on a scooter i took my position centre of the road in a defensive manner. all was good. lights change and i rode the corner onto a dual section of road, indicated with fair warning done my lifesave checks and mirror checks and made my way into that lane. all i saw was a silver Merc hauling speed ( limit is 30 i was at 30, he was doing atleast 45+) , he under took me very close so yes i gave him the two finger salute , he then could not decide what lane to take, left only or left - straight on.

i went into the left straight on due to the road being dual and i needed to be in the right hand lane. made my move and got round the roundabout and corner. stopped at the pedestrian lights on red and it happened, felt this slight push forwards, the merc drive had came right up behind me and tailtapped my rear tyre. i pulled forwards and he intentionaly did the same again. so i sat middle the road for the next mile doing 20mph lol . he drew up beside me at roundabout and i let loose, called him a ****ing muppet how dare he tailtap me how dare he try bully a leaner rider. same time the van driver behind started shouting at him, he had followed the same dude watching him.

Poxy merc drivers if i see that retard again im going to rub my nice dirty toe guard along is nice shiney piece of scrap of a car, teach him a lesson. got home to a bust L-plate

  9. Defiantly would recommend one of these. I never build mine from new although I have stripped it down to further than they come assembled from new. If you already have electrics to put in like you say then it's worth it for sure at the money they cost. Really high quality parts and will last you for ever.
  10. Right I've had a bit of a play around with the shock piston holes and got it to free up on the rebound so it acts a lot more like the oil I put in there which is 35wt now. Still has the monster truck stance but with the suspension being a lot softer it shouldn't roll over too badly. As soon as I get some 4S packs and a charger I'll be able to tell for sure!
  11. I forgot to mention that the holes in the shocks are unusally small for HN Big Bores. It feels like they have 60wt or more in them with this 27.5wt. The preload collar is all the way backed off. The spring it's self is too long causing a tonne of preload that I can't take out. I did think about adjusting the droop screws but I would lose a load of down travel and smash the chassis to pieces over time where the tiny screws hit. I think I'm gonna try and drill the holes out in the shock pistons. If I can find my small drill bits Then I got some 35wt to fill them up with and hope for a better result
  12. Not been up to much recently on this apart from getting all the wiring done as neat as I could. Come across a few questions thought, 1. Are there any CV boots that will fit over any of the CV joints or dog bones on the diff outputs? 2. Ordered up a set of 4 Kyosho 95mm Red springs for the HN Big Bores on the chassis. The fronts are a bit too big really so I need to get a pair of 84mm Blue springs to try and bring the monster truck stance down a bit. I have the opposite problem for the rear. I need springs that are about the same size 95mm x 16mm but I need ones that are much stiffer :/ So what else is there to go for? (FYI I am running 27.5w oil in the shocks fr and r) Matt

    Shock oil

Really good visual on how to do it
  14. Should always use blue threadlock on pinion gear grub screws really. Very common thing. Little bit on the thread then tighten it down as much as you can. Leave it to set for a few hours before using it and you'll be good to go
  15. Just thought i'd share this with people that didn't know about it (Although most of you probably do) Game called BeamNG on Steam. It's based around sandbox physics, meaning they are extremely realistic in everyway. Crashing, Engines, 4WD Systems, Diffs, Terrain etc etc. There isn't really a point to the game, although there are various missions to select from (Which you can download more, or make your own!) as well as good old freeplay. I love just hooning around in a rally car, or even doing some offroading with my custom build pickup.
  16. Haven't had a chance to test it yet so no idea if it actually works yet haha. Mines not waterproof either but I don't plan on taking it out in the wet
  17. Dismisses my thought of the battery not being suited to the electrics. I'm not sure why you're alarm keeps going off. Sounds like the alarm could be taking wrong readings, going off at the wrong time.
  18. What combo do you have in your truck and what are the specs of the battery?
  19. Sounds like your ESC is going into LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff) when ever you punch the throttle. ESC is probably pulling more amps than the battery can supply and causing a voltage drop in the battery low enough to trigger the LVC. Once it recovers it'll turn back on and carry on like normal
  20. I just ended up mounting my RX to the plate above the servo. One cable tie does the trick
  21. Progress! Motor and ESC turnt up today courtesy of Capri Boy. Very happy with it. Motor looks superb. Losi battery tray mounted, did have to drill one hole in the end. This was so I could put a bolt in at the steering end. Otherwise it would have been only 2 bolts through the nitro holes. Matt
  22. These should do the trick
