  1. I'll hopefully find one to suit the shaft, I might have one buried in the shed somewhere
  2. Shame, there's a supplier issue somewhere along the lines.. have these ever been sold before? Perhaps I'm behind the times but I've only stumbled across them this last week.
  3. Some good results there John, nice one. I'm looking forward to making a vid of mine when it arrives tomorrow (at least this one's arriving - the outlaw I've ordered has been delayed now until 12th Dec) I think I'll stick with the stock radio gear for a while (enjoy the novelty of waterproof electronics) possibly look at fitting a smaller pinion - and do the shock oil, a clear difference you've shown everyone there, thank you!
  4. Yes, I've just had the same email nevermind, looks like they're sold out everywhere in the country..
  5. Handy having that function, I think I'll using that judging by how much poke they have! Just had my delivery email from DPD for tomoz morning
  6. Thanks for that John! looking good there, I'm guessing there'll be another video is there a duel rate for the throttle control?
  7. (Sorry for the ignorance but rock crawling is new to me), I'd have thought a lighter oil would work in the shocks help the undulation and range of the suspension travel etc.. I've got a selection of oils here, which weight did you go for?
  8. John, Except raising the body shell, what else did you do?
  9. Ha! Thanks for that (haven't seen a manual yet lol).. looking forward to when it arrives anyway.
  10. Excellent stuff! It'll be good a balance of choice with a can of that speed, can be easily controllable on either 2 or 3S

Don't worry about it mate, I can't make every week too due to working away at sea, and when I'm home if the missus is working on a Wednesday evening then I'm at home looking after the baby.. There's a regular group who go every week, and some of us who can only turn up when we can. The classes run are entertaining to say the least, SCT's are great (I have a Basher SCT for that) crashes galore, and then the Rally cars (use an FTX Hooligan) - they're just utter carnage! Laughs galore.. And the touring cars are all prim n proper (fairly boring actually as no one crashes - they can all drive!) hope to see you there anyway when you get the time. Craig
  13. Slight update - marionville models emailed saying they were out of stock (even though it said they were available ) expected in on Dec 12th, so I went onto M'sport and they're likely to be in this Wednesday. Cancelled my original order and had the refund from Marionville and promptly ordered one (brushed version) from Otley. Looking forward to when that arrives. I've got a 550 3800kv motor sat here doing nothing which'll find a nice home in the Outlaw but for the time being I'm wondering what lipo the stock brushed esc could handle, definatley 2S, 3s perhaps?? Tried googling the esc but can't really find much info on them.
  14. Just ordered the Ranger should be here by Wednesday...

Yeah it's just off Sageston roundabout, ya can't miss it! Every Wednesday evening from 7pm racing starts, everyone tends to get there for 20 to, set up etc.. just ask for Tim (who runs it) and he can sort things out for you
  16. Looking good there, and for the price tag it's a real bargain. I've never really looked into crawlers, but I'm tempted with one of these, particularly the Ranger..

It's at Carew airfield mate, there's a large hanger there which they hold markets and auctions in every so often, our club meets there every Wednesday evening inside. They normally run 3 classes; short course trucks, rally cars, and touring cars. There's also an outdoor track which we use every now and then in the summer months, it's also used as an event for the nationals (1:10 buggy etc).. its a good laugh, friendly atmosphere and anyone will help you get on the grid to race.
  18. Makes sense really, price difference between the brushed and brushless models is almost £90, can buy a combo for say approx £40 - easily change it all out and voila.. A brushless outlaw for £170 as apposed to £220. I did that with the Viper and Hooilgan rally car.

I've used mine quite a lot since I've had it, been down an indoor RC club Pembrokeshire, it performs really well. Shell is looking a bit battered n bruised now.. Not done anything to it really other than change the wheels/tyres as they'd become worn, and change the damper oil. Other than that on 2S, stock brushed pinion, and a 5200kv brushless motor it'll reach a whopping 53mph according to my gps
  20. I've just ordered one now actually from Marionville Models.. should be here in a few days. Went for the brushed version, I've got so much brushless gear laying around I might as well transfer it across when the time comes ??

I bought one of these only last week, just the rolling chassis.. And I must say I'm very impressed! Had quite a few bits laying around so I fitted a brushless 5200kv motor, 60A leopard esc and running 2S. It's all it needs, it's nuts! Handled well out the box, after some tweaking on the esc program card to get the motor to respond to suit the car it went really really well. Anyone else having fun with these?
