  1. Yeah I have done mate. That's the good thing.
  2. I mean at a first glance I'd have the kraken everytime. Looks way better thought out
  3. Damm I got bit by the vekta bug today and now want one really bad ! Any uk shops listing them on their sites yet ? After looking over the DH everything seems like an after thought..... Fuel lines over the tuned pipe? Cable throttle ? Hmmmm defiantly not a 1000 rc. The "testers" will say it's good, there all from the same place or very close with the rcmodelz lot who will be selling them. There not going to say it's crap are they lol.
  4. I snapped the square out of my halford professional 1/4 drive on the first time of using it....not bad for the price mind

    Traxxas X-Maxx.

That's the guys who runs 22/50 and wondered why his trx connectors were melting. I'd say user error haha
  6. Finally got chance to clean this up and put back together, all shocks and diffs refilled with my preffered weights along with all the bearings cleaned and re-lubed. Ideally the shocks need fresh orings but I haven't got the kits yet so I'll do that when they arrive. I also haven't fitted the clutch as I'm waiting on some clutchbells. Really happy with how it's come out. Time for some abuse.
  7. Compared to the plastic in my old 5ive bumpers the xmaxxs plastic is indeed a lot more rigid thus meaning they will crack more often. A hell of a lot of force does go through these when there landed on however. Diffs are luckily cheap fixes but annoying if it's going to keep happening, maybe back your slipper off a quarter turn. The guy on Facebook running 22/50 has also just broke his front diff. Kinda annoying they haven't used large 1/5th side CWP's, these are close to 1/8th size which we know aren't reliable. A machined set of diff gear will be a worth while purchase if they become available.
  8. Just had another look and everything's fine so not shire what the issue is but the mesh is far too tight with the pins the correct holes. However pins in "c" the mesh is perfect. It's not as traxxas say but I'm happy. Finally got the fan on and my futaba 4pksr system on the xmaxx. Batts charged ready for more action if I get chance this weekend. Not my pic but how fun does this look.....
  9. Yeah everything's in right and there's no signs of wear at all. I'll go 15/50 to check the pinion
  10. Both pinion and spur are brand new. I though that was the case Sean, hmmm somethings not right
  11. Ocdcbr are you using a genuine traxxas pinion ? Or have u got a link for which your using ? Can't find the traxxas ones in stock.
  12. I was peed off tbh, was the 4/5th time I'd messed about and taken the engine out. It wasn't too tight tbh it's only a small screwdriver. The chassi just crushed
  13. What letter hole do your put yours in for 18/50
  14. If I go on the correct peg it's too tight. A peg back and it's too loose. Maybe it's the HPI pinion. I also tighten the motor screws down with a electric screwdriver and did one way too tight and crushed the plastic chassi ! It almost pulled the screw head straight through and has left me with a deformed slotted hole.
  15. The lads who have changed gearing, did u find the traxxas meshing system worked ? And what make pinions have you been using ? I've just fitted my 50t spur and 18t pinion and the mesh was very very tight. So much so I went one further along loosening the mesh a little but it's still too tight. The pinion I used was a HPI maybe that's the issue ? Although I'd of though they should be the same size Hiw is have you lads been getting on?
  16. I've got the 8000mah flureons they fit perfectly

    Traxxas X-Maxx.

My old early Savy flux popped it's esc in less than a week. Hpi sorted it anyway but they all have their issues. A max esc will be my next upgrade to this truck if and when it has issues. It's something I don't have an issue with doing tbh.
  18. Finally decided on and ordered the new car, Mercedes CLA180 amg line in red. The 12 weeks wait is going to be abit of a killer though.....

Patience is a virtue. I've currently got my fully rollcage'd, plated diff'd, paddle clutch'd race car on the road. That will see me over till this is delivered. Lol

  19. I've had around 10 cycles through mine using 8000mah batteries. Nothing to report back. Stock gearing on a few construction sites gravel etc. No breakages but the shells pretty rough.
  20. So where do logic RC come into this? And who are they?
