  1. Hi lads got this engine for sale coming out of my 5ive. It's the stock 26cc CY, great to start great compression and really pulls well for a stocker. Outerwears on the crank case and pull start. Carbs included but filter isn't. £70 collected from Lancashire £75 if it requires posting.
  2. £40 posted on the 0241? I'd rather buy new for £50
  3. Nice thread mate, how was the killer bee to setup?
  4. Yeah he's removing it from eBay tonight.
  5. After owning my Xmaxx I took a break from RC. It really took the edge off the hobby for me and I lost all interest. Not sure if it was the plastic toy grade feel it gave me but I sold up and didn't bother for a while. I always browse the forum and after looking around I decided I wanted back in. I was going to start with a scaler until I started watching largescale/5ive videos again and looking at build threads like AJs. A few weeks of looking around and this 5ive poped up RTR on eBay, a few messages later and I agreed a buy in now with the seller. It's a really good base for me to start with. The good hopups and not much bling, just how I like it. I've owned a few 5ives/x2s and they are without doubt the best RC ever made. Plans with this one are full strip and rebuild. Remove the stock 26cc and swap it out for an obr g320 (that's on the way), fit a lipo, better servos, new shell or maybe buggy conversion then bash, break, upgrade and repeat. Current spec : Losi rear aluminium chassis brace Losi front aluminium chassis brace Losi front aluminium steering plate Losi RED uprated springs Modified RC disk brakes Dark soul fuel tank quick connectors Jofer RC servo clamps Axis rc alumium lower shock caps. TGN air filter cover TGN pull cord cover TGN flywheel lower engine cover Samba Exhaust pipe Full aluminium turn buckles and steering rod Hot racing aluminium/carbon servo brace. Killer bee kill swich Heres the eBay pics, the truck, engine and a few bits I've ordered should arrive late next week, then I can asses it and order bits I want and need.
  6. Just purchased a nicely hopped up used 5ive, an OBR G320 billet case full mod, a dx4s and a few bits including a killer rc lipo. Let them strip and build commence.

  7. Love it, buggys and truggy a suit yellow sheets with yellow wheels. As OHO said you need a metal spur, the heat alone produced during a long run will make your plastic spur wear really badly very quickly. Metal spur is a must have.
  8. Im like that too mate, I've considered the "t" version of this for bashing too... What's your plan for the electrics ?
  9. unbelievable money for a losi 5ive. £2200!!! And i thought the stock one that was on for £1500 was steep. What is wrong with these people?!

      Oh How Original

^ that has some very nice bits on it though... Assuming the alloy bits are Modified RC and it's not ****e.

Given the price of the engine and pipe alone and the amount eBay and PayPal will skim off as well.

That's a damn sight closer to reality than the 5ive.

The £1400 one has gone but there is a £1500 one still on there.

      Oh How Original

It was the £1,500 one I thought you meant, that's the only one I saw late on last night.

It's still overpriced, but not by very much considering what it's got.

  10. Lovely AJ, whats the plan, are you racing it ?
  11. Sold my first one. I've just looked on MS and they aren't worth £749 IMO so I'll have to stay away from xmaxx videos.
  12. Nooooo I just watched the traxxas water park video and I want another xmaxx.....
  13. Yeah that's an 8t as it says in the title
  14. Brings back memories, loved my muggy, what a cool looking truck. Are parts etc even available for these anymore, there old !

    Yeti XL

What's the difference between rtr and kit lads ?
  16. I had this desicion to make when I bought my old xmaxx. I got pee'd off watching videos of the yeti lifting one of its front wheels off the ground under acceleration due to its torque. They look really fast and fun but maybe that setup isn't designed for big power. That said I don't think I'd buy another xmaxx..... At this moment in time I'd give the yeti a go, but that's only because I've owned an xmaxx

    Wanted - Losi 5ive

Hi all, I'm after a losi 5. Roller, rtr, needing work, etc I'm intrested. Would even consider a well speccd DBXL. Cheers.
  18. Ive never paid much attention to the DH but after watching ocdcbr's video upclose in HD really shows it off. Shame it will cost £1600 when finished with a half decent engine etc.
  19. Yeah if I were racing and chasing lap times maybe, but I'm a basher.
  20. I am, I was just shopping round and decided to look into these in more detail and was amazed by the parts they come with. The way the handle rough terrain is immense. I think there's a lot more to blame for yank cars not handling other than the rear axel, the fact they weigh stupid amounts doesn't help. Plenty race truck and cars still use solid axels and do just fine.
  21. Had a good look at a DH today and I now want one. How are people finding theirs?
  22. Well i came back online after a few months off, had my heart set on getting back into the hobby with abit of scaling/light crawling. After a few days of browsing im looking at 5ives again. Dam you losi for building such a good RC !
