  1. Hey all was out with the family and found a Hillingdon council park near Ruislip wood. It's public and large and I doubt anybody could complain as houses pretty far. Just a FYI There's paths there too but dunno how exciting of how much foot traffic Dropped Pin near Ruislip, UK https://goo.gl/maps/fxVhYwpgSV42 Punishing my wallet apparently...
  2. Update I ran the 1600 with a 15t. Clocked at Just a shade under at 43mph but that could be due to so many factors so I'm gonna say more or less the same. Temp 159 maxed slightly higher... Run time seemed longer but I didn't time so can't state really I did find the motor felt more jumpy (torquey?) . Had to be a lot more careful as throttle was more sensitive which I think is to be expected Punishing my wallet apparently...
  3. That is so interesting and really useful as I've been looking to get a can Might be worth changing the title as I think this is a useful post but might get missed Thx Punishing my wallet apparently...
  4. Good to know thanks! Punishing my wallet apparently...
  5. I'm no expert but I went through the same thought prices and let's face it you're better off being over the top about fire safety than the other way around However I would say that ammo tins are designed to contain military explosives bullets etc (clues in the name -ammo tin) so why would you want to drill holes in it? Surely you want to contain gases and prevent fire . Wouldn't Drilling holes feed a fire oxygen and let toxic gas escape ??? Just saying... And I could be totally wrong Punishing my wallet apparently...
  6. Interesting point thank you! I'm no engineer but I think that makes sense to me... So based on your input, with the 2200 (assuming less torque) each revolution of the motor potentially moves the truck less distance than a revolution of the higher torque 1600 ??? Punishing my wallet apparently...
  7. So me and my boys are running a TT mt4 G3 We currently run a 2200 castle with quicrun 150a on stock 12/50 gearing on 6s Off road on short grass we just hit 45 mph temp max ever is 140 degrees That's the highest speed to date and we don't even really do speed runs.....So I have no huge urge to change anything but for the sake of learning I figured I'd throw this out there. We also have a leopard 4082 1600 so longer and lower kv If I have understood various posts the lower kv indicates that this will spin slower than the 2200.... so on 6s to match the at wheel speed we should hear up Basic calculations which I may have wrong come in at about a pinion of 16 or 17 Here's the question. Even though spinning slower the leopard is presumably putting great effort in due to increased teeth... So is there any benefit to switch the two motors? My gut says the temps will probably be similar but for different reasons. Of course that's guessing which is why I'm asking. Punishing my wallet apparently...
  8. Hi mate pmed you Punishing my wallet apparently...
  9. Thanks that looks just like the battery medic I just got from hobbyking so I guess I'll see how that compares with the overlander Punishing my wallet apparently...
  10. Aaaaaaaah some perspective. Thank you. So when should one worry? Punishing my wallet apparently...
  11. The more my boys and I have gotten into bashing the more batteries I have to start charging We have 2 chargers one an old iMax b6 (id guess clone) one overlander rs8 pro I also have a cheap lv/alarm unit and a battery medic from hobbyking which is new The iMax can be .03 volts of cell values but I'd expect that as its old and a copy However the other three tend to vary by as much as .02 and are never identical on any of a number of batteries The battery medic and overlander are normally very close .... One or two Cells 0.01 variance I expect that some variance is normal due to Rounding up and round Down but .... Does the sensing capability vary that much due to components or age or other factors? Punishing my wallet apparently...
  12. Looks like carpmart to the rescue again ! Punishing my wallet apparently...
  13. How much buddy? And how are ya? Punishing my wallet apparently...
  14. Like it says ....please... Punishing my wallet apparently...
