  1. According to the shape of the front arms, chassis plate design, type of shocks etc it's a sportline touring. it's missing the side exhaust but most importantly you can get parts for it as alot of the ones you see on ebay are so old parts availability becomes a real issue. I reckon the pinion's got an hour left in it before the teeth start coming off lol. I stripped the carb, insulate etc and removed what looked to be lots of instant gasket sealant as had real trouble starting it. changed the insulator block, put a fresh set of gaskets on, reset the low speed needle with adjusted throttle trim and it started straight up. According to the manual it should be a zenoah g230 but my friend says it's 27.5cc so it's had some work done on it along the line. it's fitted with a multiplex throttle/brake servo and a Futaba steering servo. the steering rods from the servo to the saver are wrong and have been bodged but after some re-bodging by me yesterday they now actually work.
  2. Picked this up on Thursday from a friend for a very reasonable price. It needs some work but spent a day on it today tidying it up and replacing screws and fixing bits. I reckon a new pinion, diff case and tube and lots of replacement ball joints and it will be fine. Current diff is leaking its grease everywhere and the tube looks like it's seen better days (must have been on and off a fair few times).
  3. You can get 10 of those bearings for £10. I use this guy for all my bearings and they have all been good. http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/xtremesportandleisure-uk
  4. Just the usual stuff. Bearings and drive shafts (or just the pins if you can press them out) drive cups when the slots get too elongated cvd pins on the front/rear centre shaft couplers (keep them greased and they last a far while) cvd pins on the driveshaft to wheel cvd's (harder to keep greased as they are not booted, phatdad drive cups and shafst sorts this out though) diff seals on the diff cups brake disks and pads spark plug every now and again piston ring at the end of a season (depends how much you run and how you treat the car) crank bearings when you start getting excessive play (end of a season is a good interval) fuel tank clunk when it starts looking really dirty clutch depending how on/off the gas you are (mine snapped a spring the other week and it was pretty worn so i replaced the entire thing) Pretty much anything that moves/rotates will eventually wear out so alot of it depends on the conditions you run in, how much care you take of doing preventative maintenance (i.e. if you run in wet do you dry the car off, wd40 etc before storing) and how mechanically sympathetic you are.
  5. Remember I've got the losi performance pipe on my off-road car. Better bring you ear plugs Ant :-)
  6. Ahh sorry got my ends confused. I thought you were referring to the other needle bearing where the conrod connects to the crank.
  7. Replace the grommet (generic 2 stroke scooter grommet much cheaper than official rc grommet), put bits of fuel pipe on the metal sections that go through the grommet to form a better seal.
  8. We need to organise a track layout design and grass cutting session first!
  9. that's a pain. as far as i know the little end is not serviceable as you would have to get it pressed out and balanced when it goes back in.
  10. they're great as long as you can cope with the noise wherever you use it.
  11. i've had my 30N shell installed since xmas but not run it yet, it's still tarmac season for me.
  12. Also worth noting your brakes should not be set so they lock the wheels otherwise you end up putting tremendous stress through the drive train.
  13. Done, will do. Pm me your email address and I'll ping you a PayPal invoice.
  14. http://www.freeprawnracing.co.uk/losi-5ive-t-air-cleaner-set-complete.html job done for £12 lol
  15. Bought these as service items for my Baja but sold it before I needed to use them. Retail to buy these is ~£40 not inc postage. I am looking for £25 inc postage, buyer covers pp fee. Normally posted on a Saturday morning unless I happen to be working from home.
  16. I have these left over from when i used to run a baja. They comes with the stand-off's to allow proper clearance and one spare rod end. £30 inc postage (buyer pays pp fee), normally posted on a Saturday morning unless I happen to be working from home.
  17. Yeah it's a bad design, the previous filter is a much better design and there's not much out there that is better.
  18. Is it the new style square filter? If so they're **** and you should replace it with the previous losi 5ive round version. Check free prawn for a superset, he normally has some.
  19. I have the gearbox cases on my 5ive and to be honest the machining quality is a bit hit and miss.
  20. which seal, the o-rings on the outputs or the seal between spur gear and diff case?
  21. You need to get off ebay lol. You have an addiction!
  22. looks like he's just totalled up all the parts cost plus the car and taken a small bit off. He's not going to get that for it.
