I bought my first petrol 1/5 scale a few months ago and was going to buy a DBXL after researching it for a few weeks. It's cheaper than a 5T but after so many people saying you would spend loads just updating bits that fail within a few uses I was still focused on buying a DBXL but once I got to the shop to buy it I saw the 29cc 5T and never even looked at the DBXL. Ive run it stock until the steering servo failed which I replaced with a spektrum 9020 and I ordered a tuned pipe but otherwise it's still as it came out of the box and I'm happy with it.

Looking at getting a brake brace and was wanting to know what people recommend. Just found a Hot Racing 3 piece kit and Rock armour 1 piece. Which is better and are their any others I should look at before ordering.

Finally got round to sorting out ordering my spektrum 9020 and it was delivered this morning just as I was walking out the door for work. Will get it fitted tonight and get the 5 back up and running. Ive seen a few posts saying its a 8.4v servo but I'm only running 7.4v lipo. Will this make any odds ?

Got to put ordering mine off for a week or so as just spent far to much money on my real car so as much as I want it back up and working the toys come second !

Yes it's the stock servo that's died. Have decided to order the spektrum 9020 as quit a few people on here and the Losi Facebook page have recommended them.

I'm guessing the 9010 replaces the throttle/brake servo. Is this also more powerful ? If I set my brakes up so they only just make contact they are pretty crap but don't like having them set so it won't free wheel. If I buy a 9010 as well will this give more braking power or do I need to look at a brake upgrade.

Not looking to break the bank but at the same point I would rather pay out for something that will last. Not in to false economy and buying cheap and then having to buy twice.

Looks like my servo has packed up after 2 months so looking to upgrade. I see some run duel servo and others run high power singles. Im running a 7.4v lipo and am after advice on the best way to go as new to all this.

If that's the case what's the best fix ? Just get another servo or upgrade it so don't have the same problem again. If its upgrade then what's the best set up to go for ?

Been out playing with the 5 today till I lost steering. Took it apart and couldn't find anything so removed arm and found it turns in one direction and returns to centre but won't turn in the opposite direction. Dose this mean I've killed my servo ? Or am I missing something. Was all working fine for the first tank then refilled and after 2 minutes fun just couldn't turn the steering. Any help in where to start would be appreciated.

Should be delivered tomorrow or Thursday so hoping to get it fitted and see if it makes much difference apart from more noise. Good job theirs no one around the land I use it on if it's going to be loud.

After reading the post on here about the BZM micro I decided to try and order one for my 29cc standard 5ive T but couldn't find anyone that had stock of them or that could give me a date as to when they would have them in so asked what else would work with the stock 29cc and ended up ordering the Bart xp big bore and am now hoping I've made the right decision. Are these good And work well or should I not of been so implosive ?

Yes you did but always good to get the views of more than one person. Was going to buy one but they are on back order at the moment.

I've been looking at that pipe for mine. Are you on a standard engine or is that a bit special. Mines the standard 29cc so would be interested to find out what improvement you got from the pipe.
