Got my new secondhand brushless 4x4 going it was cogging badly so fitted a dean connector the the esc and tried a S3 lipo and works a treat only problem channel 1 on the receiver not working so chucked in my old FM kit in for testing quick test and it runs well so a new receiver on order

OK hands up it may been better to have the shell on will do next time but only as HPI warranty says so LOL

but have you ran it with out the shell to see what damage my get done ? LOL

I had the fan off as it was very cold and its recomened if wet running and even with a shell on mud, durt etc can still get into the fan as for damaging it with out the shell on thats a risk yes but would it protect much in a hard land I dont know

possable but was running on grass and soil so no a lot of dammage to be done LOL

Had my first run with mine today didnt put the body shell on as its been a long time since I last drove a RC car and one as powerfull as this and it did end upside down a few time but great fun

Instrutions say unplug fan if its going to get wet PS on reading this thread some one was having problem with the motor running back woulds if this happen you need to swap two of the wire over from the ecs to the motor
