    RB E ONE R

I had a 1900kv motor in mine and with the stock gearing on 4s it was a little on the slow side. I think it needs a gearing up a bit or maybe a 2250kv motor to give it a bit more top speed.

    RB E ONE R

Don't buy the RTR version, The kit is far superior. I briefly had an RB E One R, or as we christened it at the track, the "Boner". I bought one on impulse from PBM when I was in there about a month or two ago. I built it and ran it a couple of times and the quality/performance was very good. The only reason I sold it was that someone I know wanted one and it just wasn't getting used due to the fact my main race car (Mugen MBX7R Eco) takes priority. The quality of the components is very good, and the parts all fit together very well. The provided instructions are not the best due to the fact there are lots of hopup/extra pars included with the kit. This means that its not always clear which components to fit straight away although you can work it out pretty easily. The buggy handles/jumps very well although the box setup was a little on stiff side for the track conditions I was running it in, but the flip side of this is that it means its would be pretty good for bashing. I have seen the RTR up close and the kit version is a lot better. The RTR has much more of an air of "cheapness" about it and is technically inferior, from the cheapened shocks (which incidentally mount on the front of the rear shock tower/arm on the RTR version) to the dogbone drive train etc etc, its just worse.

    RB E ONE R

The one PBM are selling for 120 is the pro kit version, the ones on mb models are the rtr versions. the pro or R version is far superior spec/quality wise.
  4. The 150a Hobbywing Ezrun MAX 8 is waterproof, and hobbyking also stock them in their UK warehouse for £85. Edit: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__81496__Hobbywing_EZRUN_MAX8_V3_150A_Brushless_ESC_UK_Warehouse_.html
  5. Very nice charger. Does this do regenerative discharge when connected to a 12v batter instead of a power supply?
  6. What colour are the wires going to the switch? If it has red and black wires then joining those together will mean the ESC is always on so all you will have to do is plug in the battery's and you can still use the car.
  7. You don't need to be a club member or have BRCA membership to come down and run your car. The track is open from 10am till 5pm tomorrow, and is normally open from 10:30 till 5:00 on a Sunday but there is a race meeting this Sunday. Hope to see you there over the weekend.
  8. Make sure all the battery connections are good and plugged in properly. Also check what the LVC (low voltage cut off) is set to. It should be set between 3 and 3.7v per cell.
  9. Its normally something plugged in the wrong way round that causes that, it could of course also have been caused by a short circuit in one of the components.
  10. If you will be running 2s then the 4300kv would be better suited. Once/if you decide to run it on 4s plus then switch over to the 2400kv. Also, make sure that you keep an eye on the esc/motor temps while you find the correct gearing.
  11. What he said, they are real car killer in my experience. Its fun while it lasts but inevitably something gets broken.
  12. Some of the Arrma cars look really good, as long as you accept the fact that you may end up having to upgrade the electronics at some point.
  13. Have you seen what he does to his RC's?
  14. Looks good, you might wanna add some chassis braces though, unless that chassis is super rigid you could run into flex problems.
  15. I currently use a Sanwa MT4-s, its very well made and is one of the most responsive radio's available at the moment.
  16. What is your budget? Do you have any electrics to go in it yet? Do you already have any battery's?
  17. Spend a little extra and get an 8th scale IMO.
  18. What kind of connector does your car have fitted to it?
  19. Remove the servo horn from the servo and check that the steering moves freely. Chances are it will be binding.
  20. Unless you put your battery's in the wrong way round. I have 6 pairs of lipo's and 5 of the 6 sets have the terminals the same way round, the 6th set however has them the opposite way, you can probably guess where I'm going with this.
  21. Glad to hear it went ok apart from the tyres AJ. I made the most noob mistake ever today. I plugged my R8.1pro ESC in backwards and got some magic smoke. :/
  22. Raced it at Slough on Sunday and it went very well. The only issue I had was that I stripped a spur gear, possibly because the mesh was a little loose or maybe even picked up a stone. The track was extremely rough/rutted and the car seemed to handle it very well. My next 2 races are on astro, so thankfully should be much kinder to the car (my chassis is pretty scratched up now).
  23. As has been mentioned, you WILL break many things on your drive train with a locked centre diff. You will also most likely ruin the handling of your R/C. You would be better off going for a really thick oil as mentioned above.
  24. Looking good mate, what happened to your MT4?
