  1. Hmmm, looks ok. The only thing that bothers me is the faff of removing the engine, flogging it and getting the bits I need. Is the HoBao Transformer a new truck? I do like the look of the Hyper VSE currently
  2. What is the availability of parts like? I also have a WLToys 144001 and I'm forever having to fix that with parts from China, is it the case with Habao, are the parts normally off eBay / Banggood from China? Looks nice, but I'm struggling to find a roller, unless I have to go used, which I'd rather not.
  3. So, I fancy a buggy / truggy type to include in the collection. I have a Typhon Mega, which my boy uses and it's perfect as it's bullet proof and handles in a predictable manner. I had bought a brushless setup to upgrade it, but I don't like the idea of taking a car away from him. So... I like the idea of a Typhon 3s, but I also like the idea of a HoBao Hyper VS, especially the roller. I enjoy the building of cars and the painting, plus I have the brushless system I can chuck in there. How does the VS compare to the Typhon? The curveball would be the Hyper SSTe, but I've read bad thing about how reliable it is. Is that the case?
  4. Thanks I'll have a look in the morning. This might be a stupid question, but a brushless ESC can't run a brushed motor, right?
  5. I now have more chassis than electronics, and I'm not really one for swapping kit in and out of cars (mainly as when I ask the kids what shall we take out today, they will always pick the ones without electronics) So, what are decent value ESCs, I tend to mostly have 2s LiPos kicking around, and a mixture of brushed and brushless motors. So ideally the ESC can do brushless and LiPo. For the servos, I have an ECX Amp, plus an Associated RC10B6.2 that I'm building which will both need the bits. For the Associated buggy, I'm mostly interested in the building of a different buggy, should I start to race it, I will upgrade the bits as needed, so the parts don't have to be too focussed on that. So I'm just after decent value parts, that don't cost the earth and will stand up to occasional use in the park / woods / street etc etc...
  6. My Google-Fu isn't working today, and I can't find the size motor that the LC-12B1 takes, would a 540 fit?
  7. Forgive me, a little confused, are you selling it now?
  8. Hello mate, is it still available?
  9. Stupid question time. I bought an Aluminum C-hub from Asiatees and it doesn't fit where I thought it was going to; http://www.asiatees.com/display?HPI-Bullet-MT-Flux-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=HPI&model=Bullet%20MT%20Flux&id=74778&pid=1 Where exactly does it go?! Sounds stupid I know, but bear with me Ah-ha! Worked it out, I managed to buy two sets for the front. I'll store that set under 'spare'...
  10. Hi all, new round these here forums, so I thought I should say hello especially as I popped along to have a nose around the track yesterday. I was experimenting with mounting a GoPro on the roof of the car, but it didn't work that well as there is too much in the way of vibration. So make sure you turn the video upto 720p so you don't lose everything in a compressed mess! The car was ok, but a minor accident involving a bad landing from a jump meant I had to pack up and go to Apex Models with a broken shock tower!
  11. Hi all, I've recently picked up my Bullet MT Flux and whilst it's great fun, I'm starting to notice it's a little too quick for it's own safety (or I'm too clumsy!) Anyway, today I managed to snap the rear shock towers clean in half... I've already ordered some bits from Asiatees to help the car along, but I'm starting to think that it won't be enough if I continue my clumsy style of driving. The list of hop ups on order so far are: HPI Bullet 3.0 Aluminum C-Hub HPI Bullet MT 3.0 Aluminum Front Hub Carriers (2) Orange HPI Bullet 3.0 Aluminum Front Knuckle Arm - 1Pair Set Orange Traxxas Jato Revolver Black Front Wheels (These will be twinned with some new tyres in due course) HPI Bullet 3.0 Steel #45 Front/rear CVD Swing Shaft HPI Bullet MT Flux Aluminum Hex Adapter 14mm Diameter With 9mm Thickness I've also been looking at other alu parts, plus a servo as I feel the current one is too weak. What are the thoughts of the more experienced Bullet users on here?
