  1. They're hex all round, 12mm I believe, and the hexes are all mint
  2. Had a nice bash this lunchtime (see what I did there) until one of the servo bolts backed out. What I love about this truck is you point it somewhere, steer it in that direction, and it decides it's going to go in an entirely different direction, usually on 2 wheels. Getting used to it at the moment just with the silver can, but I'm going to go either sport tuned or super stock on it soon. Has anyone fitted the super stock? If so which variant, and how did it work out?
  3. Savage XS incoming :)

Love my savage, it needs a kid brother :)

  4. 1 set of Stampede wheels/tyres from a 2WD model. Hardly any wear on the tyres but a few marks on the wheels or small areas where the chrome has split. These have been crudely balanced with blu-tack, can be removed easily to re-do at your leisure Asking
  5. Doesn't look like this one sold, right price range too. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/203070-savage-flux-hp-alza-integy-etc

Quite true. Me lunchbox is mad as a box of frogs, whereas me savage is a buzz to drive. Both are huge fun, just completely different types of fun.
  7. Well...maybe slightly above that but I've seen them go on here for
  8. Savage but I'm biased. Mine says hi
  9. There are tabs where the spokes meet the rims, these have a bit of scuffing on them on a couple of the wheels. One of the hexes has some minor rounding but is fine with my 17mm hex conversion. The tyres themselves have seen very little action. Only selling them to put towards the savage XS.
  10. My Flysky gt3b currently runs my scout crawler, traxxas slash, Tamiya fighter buggy, lunchbox, and savage flux. Each one has its own settings too, I believe the TX can have up to 10 bound to it each with their own settings and the RX are only
  11. Losi truggy and dirt bonz now sold. Ho Bao 17mm monsters still for sale I also have some proline road rage on 17mm hex wheels if anyone is interested.
  12. Ok they are 205 long, 30 wide and about 48mm deep. I think your lipo's will fit apart from those 8000mah housebricks
  13. Quick question about the shocks on these...most aftermarket shocks seem to come with rod end type mounts whereas the lunchy has that strange bolt-through the chassis as the top. How do you mount oil filled shocks, do you have to modify them or buy a specific type?
  14. What lipo's have you got, I can measure mine (battery boxes that is!) later when I get home. Send us measurements if you like.
  15. Managed to get the spraying done to finish the lunchbox
  16. You're lucky you didn't lose a thumb there!
  17. Wow that's not good! I had my savage flux runaway in my conservatory on 6s. I also have the xerun 150a ESC but mine had a dodgy 'set' button at the time and managed to recalibrate the throttle without me knowing it. Next time I switched it on, on a stand, it went full throttle which on 6s was enough to pancake the tyres completely. They burnt my arm, hit the stand and it got free. Three standing backflips later one of the lipo's got flung out and killed it. From that point on I always remove the wheels when doing any work like that. Oh, and I replaced the set switch!
  18. My Savage doesn't so much make me smile as make me scared lunchbox definitely makes me smile, it's bonkers and definitely has personality. Whoever said it was more like having a pet than an RC was bang on. b19jas - good call on keeping an RC in the boot of the car, I keep my Mav Scout in there in summer, and sometimes the Savage or Slash.
  19. Great work yet again You've got me thinking now about making a different chassis for my Scout.

I'd say it looks a lot better but than a cheap plastic stampede for the same money. HPI have had a bit of a gap at the 1/10 scale, the XS is small and complex while the regular savage is a bit too large and serious for some folk.
  21. That's a cool little video. You have some nice crawlers there too. Scalers are not really my thing but that Land Rover near the end of the video is superb. Thanks for posting this up.
