  1. Started to strip her down. Mainly due to new parts arriving today (see postie thread) and secondly as i think i messed up when i built the shocks so after doing some research gonna rebuild as per the video i watched
  2. A big factor for me choosing the Baja over a 5ive was because I wanted something different to what i already had. I took my time, did my research and don't regret the decision one bit. Dont get me wrong, 4wd are a blast but, for me at least, they are very quick to get the hang of whereas the 5b requires more finesse and patience (something which im graced with not a lot of )
  3. Ordered some bits n bobs for the Baja....watch the postie thread tomorrow
  4. 4wd is for ppl with little to no skill...mash throttle and steer. 2wd requires skill and patience and when u get it right is more rewarding imo (note - i own 2 4wd cars and whilst fun to drive the baja is more rewarding, when you get it right)
  5. Needles shud be on the carburettor (opposite side to pull start i think)
  6. Yup tis pretty good mate. Read other ppl have been turfed off there by park rangers before but ive been there half a dozen times and not had any issues....I believe those "jumps" are an old pitch n putt area as they do look like old golf greens. Was devastated when the wheel flew off. Thought "this is gonna cost". So relieved it was down to a loose bolt. Needless to say i have checked and re-checked everything is nice n tight (ooo errr!) A couple more for ya https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7kyc-xf1RtE And a nice barrel roll at the end! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F-M2eqfktkg
  7. Took the WR8 and Baja out for a bash. Did this to the WR8: Then this happened to the baja (right at end) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wTp3yXgVheo Luckily it was the bolt that screws through the hex hub that had come loose and even managed to find all the bits (phew!)
  8. Just bought and built a baja 5b ss - with this kit u get a lot of hop ups included in the price. As you say if u deffo want 4wd then the baja wont be for you bur ive only been running her for the last 2 days and absolutely love it! Just food for thought.... http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/album/3618-baja-5b-ss/
  9. Changed stock 4 degree camber blocks on the baja to 1 degree.....not keen on wheels pointing in that much.....hard to tell if anything has broken!
  10. U need to charge at 1c which equates to 1A per 1000mah, so your 4200 needs to be charged at 4.2a. However this would speed up the charge time which is the problem you are having. Not too clued up with nimh as use lipos but read the electrics guide in the electric forum. Very educational reading
  11. Yup. Took it steady for first tank then had a blast! Started to tune it a bit today. Deffo a bit more top end now!
  12. Went out for another bash with the baja. Started to tune it with some positive results!
  13. Good job i dont own a Losi then!!
  14. Taken a few in her "new" state. Ran it on grass, had a few rolls so only very minor mud/grass marks on the rollcage but i dont mind the odd battlescar here n there.
  15. Well my rule is if they ask nicely and seem to have half an ounce of common sense then sure, they can have a go.......provided they hand over
  16. Im sure it does, however no one moaned and no idiots either so i'll take it : thumbsup:
  17. Just taken her out for the maiden run and drew a crowd!! Have to say that that was FUN!!
  18. Took the baja out for her maiden run and attracted quited the crowd! Have to say that was the most fun ive had (with my clothes on ) in a long time!!
  19. Hpi might charge premium prices but in that price is the 2 year warranty and all the help and support thats available
  20. Undecided atm! Given how pretty she looks with the orange anodised parts im toying with keeping it clear with some decals. Failing that was thinking some kind of silver and orange scheme in keeping with the stock parts but im open to ideas
  21. And i have a (almost) 3year old to contend with. How no parts went "missing" is a miracle. Well here she is:
  22. Finished the build (well almost, just the shell to paint but the anodised orange parts look so nice im considering keeping it clear with a few decals). Went to garage, got fuel, went to park.....would not start. Back home, check spark - yup thats ok. Put plug back and a few cranks later she fired into life. Now off back to park for some fun!
  23. Built mostly on my lap in the living room ( i do have unfeasibly long legs!) so you dont need that much room!
  24. Will do. Just itching to get it out although dont wanna get her dirty! Only job left is to paint the shell but the chassis and all the orange parts look so nice im considering keeping it clear.......
