  1. Managed to get hold of a tqi transmitter and reciever on ebay and all is finally well, thanks again for the advice.
  2. Aerial seems fine will try another receiver/transmitter first and if it's still an issue am I right in thinking the ESC could be kaput?
  3. No it's not new unfortunately. Il check the aerials condition to see if that could be the cause. Then if that fails a process of elimination needed to get sorted ....thankyou for the advice appreciated
  4. 27mhz transmitter. Yes set the trim to the neutral position and yes recalibrated the esc.
  5. Having some problems setting up a traxxas slash with XL5. I have had it running but still not right have had no problems reseting the esc and programming it but once done when I put the transmitter into reverse sometimes it just goes full forward throttle. Have reset and re connected the transmitter but still having this problem. Could this be the transmitter and reciever at fault. As you can probably tell I'm quite the noob and any advice would be greatful ( I have searched endlessly with no avail up until now) Cheers Dave

  10. Thanks for the replies on looking around I like the look of the Slash Traxxas bit more than I wanted to pay but all the reviews/posts seem to confirm it's durability. This however is not really a small boys toy but let's be honest the whole buying it for me and the boy thing is a good smoke screen for I want one I want one
  11. Hi All Just after some advice.... I'm looking at getting an RC for me and my 6 yr old son (ok mainly me) but on looking on the web for sometime seems it's a mine field of makes and models. I'm looking at something robust which will stand upto a bit of abuse and ideally no more than
