  1. I will do, thanks for your help
  2. Wasn't thinking you were being funny at all mate, I keep doing it over and over again....you would think I would have learnt by the 20th time of making the same mistake.....LOL
  3. damn that 3s/c rubbish.....i'll get it right one day....LOL To be fair the I opened the case as the crack at the end allowed it to be spilt open a quick check closed and taped up...
  4. Thats exactly what I do...but with a 3c it kicked pretty high....then crunch on yhe back end with the nose pointing at the sky... Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  5. About 3 weeks old.....lol Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  6. It has adhesive foam padding blocks only a couple of mm think top and bottom and its held pretty fast in place...but coming down from about 6ft straight on its tail on the concrete probably not helped...lol..but the car took it well i was quite impressed.. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  7. Stupid me. When I went out today I took my LiPO and after I had finished thrashing around the park it went in to the skate park....where it took a bit of hammering, go back to the office and thought I had better check the old lipo, and I have cracked the case...DDDDOOOHHHH.....I have taken the case apart and all three cells look fine no sign of puffing or anything. So have put the hard case back on and then taped it up solid..... It was about half hour between taking out of the car and checking the cells.....would I have noticed any puffing with in that time? or seen a problem... Hoping its all right, should teach me a lesson, as I had the 3 NiMH's in my bag and should have just swapped it over before taking on the jumps.....
  8. I'll have a chat with the Mrs to night and see what she says...cheers for the advice....
  9. Bent a front dog bone down at the skate park and took quite a pounding......I tell you, really happy how the Vandal jumps, although it do a lot of belly slapping. Now the dog bone is repairable I reckon, but is it best to bend it cold, or under heat?
  10. Me and the Mrs, have decided to get my boy a little RC off road RC car, he is coming pu to 4, but he drives mine (with assistance) and he loves it... So want to get him a good strong racer that would happily go over short grass. Any recommendations for a good little 1/18 or even 1/24 scale RTR? Was thinking a Losi 1//24 Short Course....
  11. Tamiya do one but can't get hold of one and has interchangeable sleves so it goes beteeen the 3.2mm and 5mm. Cheers for the contact have sent him an email and see what he can do... Failing that I'll be ordering the HPI ones and drilling them out. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  12. Why is it so hard to get a 26t - 30t pinion with a 0.6m to fit a 5mm shaft......?? So I don't have to drill it....
  13. Yeah that would be cool, let me know if it fit a 36mm dia. Motor and i can sort you out. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  14. Took it out on the 23t for the first proper run....could easily handle a bigger pinion, even off the Nimh's... Oh my, what a world apart it is from the truggy it's lighter, responds quicker, more stable, massively more agile & controllable....Makes the truggy look like a wallowing pig Back tyre didn't like the 3c round corners....so need to re glue it....but it flies....and dosent really wheelie, just disappears..The acceleration in the truggy was kind of violant in comparison I assume the slipper is dealing with it...Run times of the batteries are massively increased too. Love this car over the old, much better chioce. Motor was hot though, will get a heat sink for it and cut the body for more ventilation. Posted by me ????
  15. Ok ad the 23t pinion drilled and now it runs pretty much as the old car...am going to ger a selection of pinions to try 26, 28, and 30t Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  16. I started out with your sort of budget and got a TAMCO Raider, digital charger and 2 x NIMH all for just under
  17. Cheers guys guess what i will be ordering.....lol...would not have considered going that high in teeth..so cheers Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  18. Still a little bit of weight to lose.....but no plans to race at club level yet..but certainly a weight to aim for
  19. First test drive today armed only with a 17t pinion and NiMH, I found it quite a sedate drive (TBH more of stroll around the park)....got up to full pace in split second without hesitation regardless of the grass length, bumps around a lot more than the truggy did so can see its more happier on flats. But after using the two batteries, there was hardly any temps to report on the batteries, ESC, and motor so there is plenty more to come....calculated top speed 20.98mph...with this setup.... http://i1370.photobucket.com/albums/ag252/jp79er/20140925_130155_zpsae395b69.mp4]http://i1370.photobucket.com/albums/ag252/jp79er/th_20140925_130155_zpsae395b69.mp4 But today a 23t pinion has turned up in the post, a friend is going to bore it out to fit my 5mm motor shaft on his pillar drill.....that should see it be pushed to 28.32mph....which is just 1mph short of where the truggy was.......stick on the 3c and I should see just under 43mph ish......(much more fun and livley).. So look forward to getting this on and giving it a blast.....
  20. Hi and welcome, i have found plenty of friendly advice and help here. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  21. Just for my own personal record, race weight weight: Nimh batteries : 1.965kg 3c lipo : 1.901kg Posted by me ????
  22. Plus it doesn't bottom out when I drop it from height now....? Posted by me ????
  23. Ok thanks for the tip, might explain why they are bit weak. After your comment I have decided to swap the suspension over completely and lifted it from my Raider as that had quite a good ride, certainly a lot firmer allround. Was certainly a tight fit, but managed to get it tidy.....wondering if there is another steel available that I can change it for to give me more room...? Think the new red shock don't look too bad.... Shame it gets dark too early, can't wait to give it a blast properly.....as only had a little lap around the garden and didn't get a chance to stretch her legs....and I still have a 23t pinion to arrive and fit.
