+1 for the vandal nearly finished upgrading mine

Yeh i used my own radio gear,just a hobbyking 3 channel,that 3 in 1 u cant use it for anything really,what combo did u go for in the end?nice little hop ups on their way then! I use similar batteries in my vamo v3,18650 panasonics was thinking of doing this too,will have to keep me posted on that!

1/10 buggy building a quanum vandal into a ftx vanage basically just all upgraded parts, want to try and get 60mph + if possible?what would you recommend?

The 80a etronix is rated 2s-4s,is it not possible to run 4s in a 1/10?upgrade drivetrain maybe? Trying to find out a bit more info on the 3000kv motor but cant find any specs!

Would that esc work with the etronix motor? The Hobbywing esc u mentioned!

The esc is a 80a,nearly went for the 120a but price jumps up quite a bit,just order a 2600 mah nano tech 4s with 45c-90c

Yeh slightly bigger wheels all round,the stock gearing is 17/65 and on my ftx vantage its 23/65? Budget would be around 120ish for motor esc! Got some road wheels and tyres turning up soon so shouldn balloon up so much as the standard wheels!

Purchased a quanum vandal roller Upgraded to carbon chassis with carbon top plate +sway bars Turnigy digital 9kg servo planning to get this to 60+ mph possibly more if possible? can anyone recommend a motor/esc combo to achive this,would need to be running 3s lipo,(would 2s lipo reach 60+mph?) And some decent road wheels for the buggy! Gearing is at 17/65 at the moment Thanks for any info Danny

Hi sorz for late reply,hows the conversion goin?i will try and take some pics tomoro,i got a seperate servo as the original was built in as a 3 in 1 servo esc receiver.all a tight fit as the shell dont leave u much room underneth.

Cheers for the info!yeh the standard wheels ballon bigtime with 3s!their pretty much bold already!ive zip tied a 1 oz lead to the front as yeh it kept taking of with my 6000kv motor in it,that motor blew up after 2 runs? I will try a different higher c battery to begin with and see how it goes,the 3s were 1500mah 35c nano tech!

Hi ive on a mission to get my 2 cars to hit the 60 mark if possible?! 1st car is a ftx vantage brushless With a 5000kv motor and 80a esc 23/65 gearing. With a 3s ive managed 46mph Temps were 130f 2nd car is a little 1/18 ripmax jackal converted to brushless 5500kv motor 25a esc 12/45 gearing running 3s ive managed 49mph.temps were 137f does anyone know what setup i can use and what gearing would get any cars to 60mph Thanks for any info

Hi i managed to fit a hobbyking 5025kv 25a combo to the ftx colt,u will need a seperate servo and mount,all quite a tight fit under the body,runs fine on 2s and 3s lipo temps were around 120f for motor and 95f esc after a good 20mins of runs in a car park, I originally put a 6100kv motor which was good on 2s but on 3s had lots of smoke from the motor after about 3mins!

I have a maverick strada mt with a 16t 4000kv motor and a 80a esc, my question is the stock gearing is 14/65 I have a spare pinion from my vantage Would there be any benefit from changing the pinion to a 23t and making it 23/65 Mainly using 2s lipo for bashing and 3s for speed runs Thanks for any info

Got ripmax jackal and a ftx colt, I put a 6100kv in the jackal, was fine on 2s but smoked on 3s after a couple of mins, was stupid fast while it lasted! Ive now got a 4000kv in the colt which is just right on 2s, not tried 3s just yet!

Hi newbie here! Ive just converted a ripmax jackal to brushless using a 25a esc and 6100kv 7.5t motor. Its been running fine on 2s 1300 lipo nice temps quite rapid, my problem started on the 3s lipo! Mega fast for about 6mins of speed runs,then smoke lots of it from the motor! Was it my gearing? Or was this motor just a suicide motor! I did reduce my gearing slightly, maybe not enough? Can anyone recommend a good kv rating motor for this setup on 3s with gear ratio? Thabks for any info Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
