    Attempting my first hard body paint job today. do i need to sand the shiny plastic before i put on the primer?

      Yes, fine grade wet and dry, just to lightly key the surface, then wash off and degrease. Prep is key to ensure a lasting finish, light coats of primer, same with top coat. :)
