A 2028 would tear out that plastic mount in no time at all. I'd be highly dubious about its reliability with such a powerful motor. This xmaxx looks big but the drive train isn't 5th scale by any means. Yeah well like others have suggested the 1717 seems perfect for the x !

I think the guy that fitted the 2028 has jumped the gun , what's he going to do in a weeks time when he blows the diffs ? Order traxxas diffs again ? Obviously he wanted to be the first to do it , but imo he should of waited untill aftermarket ones become available . The stock setup looks powerful enough to be enjoyable for a while or until somebody smoke's the stock combo [emoji2]

It's a Monster Truck, they do that. A few suspension tweaks should reduce its tendency to roll. Off-set rims and/or axle extenders will also make a world of difference. Axle extenders were one of the first upgrades I thought abt for this truck not only for the looks but for a bit of extra stability .[emoji2]

Dr Dre Head phones can cost up to £250 maybe more, I haven't a pair, but are produced for £12 !

The guy who's broken his is getting freebies, no reason that anyone else wouldn't get free replacements, it sounds like Traxxas are recognising issues and dealing with them. Traxxas have been sorting problems almost immediately , but that might be something to do with who these guys are ,the 80 first trucks were given to local stores and people in with traxxas , I wonder if the service will be as quick for us normal lot over here !

[emoji38] Happy to say that exploitation isn't in my nature. IF it were sold, then as long as the price is covered, all good. Experience of Traxxas electrics dictated a UK buy, with direct warranty support from MS, plus, supporting UK hobbyshops is a good thing - trying to achieve a balance of buying from home and abroad is sometimes difficult to manage. Very good point , not something I'd thought of but that ms warranty and service is worth it's weight in gold , an the reason I'll most likely be buying the x from them , they were very good to me when I owned my xl .

that might be coming to a end as traxxas are stopping discounts on cars. also with the X maxx the motor and servo are no good to anyone so we might not see a roller for sale as they need that motor and servo That's a shame , I bet many cool builds were started by buying those rollers , yeah I can't see that servo being much use to anybody other than x owners , an I doubt you will see many x rollers , I'm personally looking forward to the new toy experience so I'll purchase one new when possible an try an run it fairly stock with the exception of some ally shock caps an maybe a couple ring gears spares lol .

I like the fact a couple of those German companys on eBay sell the traxxas 1/16 revo, slash an maybe a couple others , as brand new rollers only , very cool leaving the customer to fit the electronics of their choice[emoji2]
