  1. I run a 46T spur a 19T pinion but currently on a 2350kv motor and it's fine, temps seem ok, standard ST diffs front and rear seem ok I will be changing the motor at some stage to a 2200 1515 castle that I have waiting to go in.
  2. Cool I think I can add Hong nor to the list then [emoji106] Depends what sizes you are after? If you let me know then I'll see what I have for you I have thousands of the 8x16 size for Hubs & diffs
  3. That's looking nice, how are you finding parts supply for the hong nor? I'm looking a truggy or 2 for my kids pref Hyper ST's but they are prooving illusive to get hold of for sensible money as a roller
  4. Unfortunately I've only got a few bearings for each kit so can't make up full one's at the moment
  5. Sorry I sold my last one last week, they where
  6. Hi, I will have a look at what's needed in the kit and see if I have enough to make a kit up and come back to you, I sold my business up around 3 months ago now so only have limited stock left Hi, Again I will have a look at this kit contents and see what I have
  7. I don't use this method either but it's a known good method if your starting out. But I was questioning the chap as he said not to use this method but never gave a reason and I was curious as to why
  8. No please don't wave your winky around no matter what you call it
  9. If you find another ST complete or roller I'm in the market for another one or two or even three
  10. Well I have to disagree, all through my engineering masters degree training we have always used the paper test on gears up to 5mm pitch yes there is more scientific ways to do it but it is a known test to get it within 0.06 of a mm which is within tolerance, over that I have special pitch measuring tools but my question to that poster was why? As he had picked my post out saying you shouldn't do it? So I want a fully calculated reason as to why it shouldn't be done this way as he obviously knows something I probably should [emoji2] Capri boy I'm not saying your way is wrong everyone has there own way and you'll soon know if you get it wrong [emoji12]
  11. And why is that then? Please enlighten me as I would be really interested in yor detailed answer as to why not to use this method

  13. You never stop learning and if you don't ask you'll never know
  14. Yes red is high strength and blue is medium, you won't undo the red once set without a struggle
  15. You should be able to run a normal piece of paper between the 2 gears and it should just come out crinkled if it sticks it's too tight if it doesn't crinkle the paper it not close enough
  16. I love my boats and started with speedboats but I much prefer the slower tugs and scale stuff like the figates, aircraft carriers, submarines I used to be a member of the Eastbourne model powerboat club until I moved. I went along to summer ponds yesterday (first time) with the kids its a lovely model show and I think the location is beautiful so peaceful all you can here is the noise of the models. and I will be going next year too (hopefully will be camping and racing next year)
  17. Hence the reason I stick to 5s never had a tyre good bang!!
  18. 4s is ok and with the right gearing your looking at around 40-45mph, you want to really look at 5-6s if you really want speed 6s with the right gearing I suppose you would be looking at around 60+ mph, I usually use 4 or 5s
  19. I've never used Liquid mask myself, might be a daft question but how do you get straight lines around the windows or do you mask around them then paint the liquid mask then take the tape off?
  20. Uprade that engine to an brushless motor smoother, faster and more fun (oh and less noisy!!) Be interested in what you use for shock upgrades I've tried a few and all have been too short

  23. Don't feel too silly I'm sure your not the first or the last to do that. And sometimes it's the most obvious things you have ask about as most people dismiss it.
