  1. I use a quicrun 3656 I got from rcmart personally Also seen things about these gool brushless systems on here recently maybe one of their motors could be an option... Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  2. Sounds ideal, cheers mate Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  3. In relation to my earlier post, do they no longer stock the old type spur gears then? So I need to upgrade to the blitz clutch setup and top shaft and then look for the newer spur gears, which are also all on low or limited stock I feel Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  4. May be tempted by the E fs just for the extra fact it's got a spare spur and I can't find one anywhere [emoji28] will have to check funds though Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  5. Anyone know where there's any spurs in stock ? Had one going for a while and it's finally stripped, now can't find any on ebay and out of stock at modelsport... Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  6. Probably won't be helpful at all but do you have any friends who are students or parents of students? Can usually get office on 5 devices for a uni student using their uni address and login details to get a link/code Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  7. I second the above notion, the white ese ones can be had easily and they make them less prone to popping off, good stuff [emoji106]
  8. Oh god I dunno, I don't think it matters due to the design, they have a grub screw on either side that tightens down onto the axle to hold them on tight I currently use them on my e firestorm however they've also been on my df02
  9. I have the mip ones and they work great! Dunno if they're still available though and I got mine from the states in the first place
  10. Ah must've got them mixed up, yep now you mention it I did the araldite on both but only the extended u on the df02! Helps to have someone who completely knows what they're talking about
  11. One thing to think of if doing any proper offroad is where the lower arms mount to the chassis is quite weak,a common fix is araldite in the hollow sections underneath and on top of where the shaft goes through to try and give it a bit more thickness, also you can make the u shaped hinge pin yourself out of a longer bit and therefore extend it into the chassis and make it much stronger
  12. Thanks very much! Yeah we are all very proud especially my mum! ! My sister at home also enjoyed the buzz of spotlight around the house during the final haha It was great to watch and hopefully gets hockey out there a bit more, the semi was the much better game but luckily the Dutch couldn't convert enough of their chances. .
  13. Haha nope my sister was playing for the gb women's hockey, I dropped a few hints further up... Unfortunately I didn't get to watch but my parents and another sister went out to watch all of it and other events!
  14. Forgot to mention these medals weigh a lot!! And a pretty cool case to match!

  16. Well I'll have to give a shout out to the hockey girls again as they won!! Shame I couldn't have been watching out there
  17. Perfectly normal for a grub screw to work loose like that and so threadlock is perfect for it, so long as you don't use the too strong stuff as it'll be a pita to get it off if so
  18. Good to see peaty smashing it and shock, Phelps with another! And big shout out to the hockey girls who have won their first two games against Australia and India! ! (Quick family plug there)
  19. Cable tie over the top, but currently have an Sc8 which has a mounting plate which I then mounted to my own homemade fibreglass battery bar/plate
  20. Quick question what speed controller and motor does it come with....? It says 120A and 2850kv in the middle but then the reaktor and 60A esc in the speed bit? Or have I read that all wrong late at night
  21. Well a 4s esc look no further than a wp Sc8 , and then for 6s yep one of the quicrun, xerun, ezrun 150 amp escs
  22. Generally lipos will be lighter than the equivalent capacity nimh which helps to increase runtime ever so slightly, it's more that they suffer much less voltage drop off until the end so you have full or close to full power for much longer, whereas with an nimh the performance gets less and less quite quickly
  23. http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/109073/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwosK4BRCYhsngx4_SybcBEiQAowaCJV9JPJ5LrxdW0A4Ei9hnQ3CttBUrKAzfjjEA-y-XFmsaAgpq8P8HAQ Tried and tested and a very good stadium truck, yes not the same price but only 40 quid more
  24. Personally I've read spannermonkeys thread and whilst to a certain point it looks like it has improved, we don't know whether the shop has newer stock and personally I believe/know you can get much better? ? The self build was the one I had and whilst yes it helps to get used to it and is good fun to build there are better things for not much more money Solid, reliable model that's reasonably quick too is the hpi firestorm, forum favourite and can cope with rough and tumble Plus if you really want to build it you can always completely disassemble and build it up again!
  25. There's many different ways to do it yeah, tape or shoe goo and drywall tape Bits that cracked on my first shell stemmed from wheel arches where they cracked in the middle and then split across the whole shell aha and yeah then around the flimsy/thinner edges
