  2. Any one tried the Proline 72 Chevy bodies on the Carnage? looks like they may fit?
  3. Thanks man! And yea they look very well made Its just my opinion
  4. Nice setup ive considered a leaf spring setup but decided i prefer the 4-link with shocks as this gives better articulation i think. just my opinion tho and leaf spring setups defo look more realistic
  5. The HPI E-Firestorm handles a lot better than the Rustler. It's also pretty indestructible the only thing that broke on mine was the front Suspension arm but that was from a 60+ mph head on collision with a 1/8th scale metal buggy!
  6. Thanks and yea they should help articulation as well as they are full 4-link instead of 3-link at the front like the stock axles. They are currently
  7. Either HPI E-Firestorm Flux, HPI Trophy Truggy Flux, FTX Carnage Brushless or Axial SCX-10
  8. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on using their car at the beach. I've considered it with sand paws but always decided not to as i thought sand could get inside everything and start grinding everything down. Am i right in thinking this or is sand pretty harmless for electric rc's? If not any tips on how to keep it out? Cheers
  9. My SCX-10 Jeep Cherokee With RC Channel Metal Axle kit http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26281-/
  10. Hi all, So i decided to get the Metal Axle kit for the SCX-10 made by RC Channel. I purchased mine on ebay and it took a while to arrive as they are located in Taiwan. However when it finally arrived everything was there so i set to work installing it on my truck. The Axles come as standard with open differentials but they can be locked using 2 Locking pins which are screwed into the diff by removing the axle cover. A set of simple but still useful instructions are included with pictures showing how you do this. It wasn't a direct fit onto the SCX-10 Chassis. I don't know about the long wheelbase chassis but with my short wheelbase chassis, the servo horn to hit the crossmember so that had to be trimmed away with a craft knife. Other than that it all went on easily and the end result looks great! http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26275-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26276-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26277-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26278-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26280-rear/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26279-/ I haven;t had a chance to run these sweet looking axles yet but when i do i will give an update on my thoughts. Any questions feel free to ask and i will do my best to answer them
  11. I am thinking of getting the carbon chassis over the aluminium chassis. How is the carbon chassis to drive? does it handle a lot better? Thanks.
  12. My motor casing poped open on my HPI E-Firestorm Flux. It has ripped the screw through the metal and is now not secure so the motor doesnt work. I bought a new motor and the exact same thing happened on the first run! ANY IDEAS?
  13. Be very careful with all the screws as they are short and in most cases going strait into plastic so they can easily strip out. Also when building the shocks, don't fill them right to the top as if there is ANY oil on the thread they wont compress as the air cant escape. If your going to run the truck in any water i recommend you use a decent amount of Marine Grease in the axles on the gears and around all the bearings to keep them from rusting over time. There are 4 holes in the top of the axles that aren't used so just put 3mm screws in them this will stop water entering your axles. Other than that have fun building this kit and take your time
  14. Has anyone got the full aluminium chassis for the FTX Carnage? It looks nice but i was interested if anyone had any experiences with it? Thanks
