  1. Couple of pics of the MT wheels that should clear things up. As the Tamiya tyres are a lot wider than the stock MT ones the outer parts of the wheels don’t fit down onto the inner wheels. The Tamiya tyres are such a tight fit the outer wheel faces are really just for show.
  2. Didn’t try to remove the inner wheels. The screw in the wheel centre just lets you remove the outer face of the wheels then the stock tyres can be removed. The Tamiya tyres were a tight push fit on the MT wheels. The outer faces were fastened back on using longer screws. They don’t actually touch the inner wheels now.
  3. Looks good. The wood should come up nicely after a few coats of walnut oil. John
  4. Re-did the front suspension on the Lunchbox. Re-printed the suspension parts making some alterations to make them work better and fitted turnbuckles for adjusting the camber. John
  5. You must be like a kid on Xmas morning waiting to unwrap your pressies. Hope it’s as good as it looks in the photos. John
  6. You’d think some of the other big gun shops would set up a home delivery system. So about the middle of the week we should see some pics of the new acquisition. John
  7. Little more tinkering with the crossbow. Fitted a new scope rail and some QR mounts so now it all fits in the carry bag. John
  8. The Kester solder is very highly rated in the US. Might order a roll and sell a couple of 100g lots at cost. John
  9. I’ve had good luck with the Absima or Etronix Tuned motors which come in 14t.and are rebuildable. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/absima-thrust-b-spec-electric-motor-14t/rc-car-products/381550
  10. Found this info under the selling regs for online orders which applies unless it’s an order for custom goods. Your right to cancel an order starts the moment you place it and doesn't end until 14 days from the day you receive your goods.
  11. RC'd the Tamiya 1/32 Mini 4WD Mammoth. Used the chassis from the mini Lunchbox conversion and fitted the Mammoth body and mounted the Mammoth tyres on the MT wheels. Runs OK but needs a bit more clearance for the front tyres. John
  12. The postie mystery. Why does my postie have me sign for packages when my neighbour is’nt in and leaves them with me when they're small enough to fit through a letterbox. OK don’t mind signing for them but he then goes and sticks a card through their letterbox saying the packages have been left with a neighbour?  Why not just take the flippin packages and stick them through their letterbox instead???   :017:

Anyway it’s not a rant or complaint just an observation. No big deal.

    3. Oh How Original

      Oh How Original

Yeah I have asked this before, when small but important bits have been left with a neighbour, who works weird hours so I have to wait until the next day.

They can't leave packages anywhere other than the house of the person who signed for it.

The funny ones are when stuff is left with me that fits through my letterbox, with no signature

Better than just dumping it at the door like ours. Dripping wet parcels aren't good lol. My gearVR was thrown outside in rain and snow last week.

  13. The 1625 is a lot smaller and easier to fit. The 1060 could be used but would have to go inside the cab and you’d have to cut out the seats to make room.
  14. The best price I’ve been able to find in the UK yet. £26.71 plus £12.00 shipping. https://www.digikey.co.uk/products/en?mpart=24-6040-0027&v=117 John
  15. Kester solder would be my first choice but as it’s commercial grade only comes in commercial quantities..
  16. Got one of those chassis for the Unimog project that’s been sitting untouched for a year under the workbench. Only prob was the transmission mount plate. A standard SCX10 one is too wide and needs trimming down a bit to fit between the solid chassis rails. John
  17. Crossbow bag and a pistol scope arrived. Liked the rifle scope I fitted to the crossbow but it wasn’t suitable for really close range so bought an AGS 2 x 20 pistol scope that was usable down to 5m. Have ordered a folding front grip as the crossbow won’t fit in the bag otherwise. John .
