But, i will say, the N1 controller (the "new style" standard controller) is so much better than the old standard controller that had fold-out arms on the bottom to hold your phone - "assembling" the thing, as in connecting/clamping phone is done in less than 10 seconds, so it really isn't that big a hassle. 

And, albeit personal preference, i never liked the screen underneath the sticks. To me, the screen above the sticks feels more natural. 

edit: most importantly, it fits my phone with my dBrand case still on. The old remote didn't allow for that, i barely got it in there without the case. 

Quick opinion: amazing. Love how far the little guy has come from the original Mini/Spark.

Only awful thing so far, the gimbal protector. I'm not sure if i'm too stupid to put it on properly, but it takes me minutes to fiddle it on.
