Hi I've got a mint one with about 3 batteries through it. However I chucked the box but have the bag of spares and manual etc. oh and I have the RTR receiver. I also upgraded the hex's to Traxxas and its got a set of proline badlands on it. I can take them off if not wanted and go back to stock. PM me an offer. I'm in Exeter but can post and prove ownership etc.
  2. I know this is probably considered shameless self promotion, but after RC cars my next passion is playing bass
  3. I've got a set of these used once: http://www.modelspor...-products/38240 Note they are not the Trencher X version and have less offset, but they are ideal for the savage flux hp as they weigh a lot less. I'll let them go for

  5. Losi 5ive uses a 25mm hex wheel nut and different threads. You can convert to 24mm though.
  6. Oops sorry I meant 2.8 Badlands not 3.8...anyway here it is. Way better traction, looks better, but with slightly less body clearance:
  7. I just stuck cheap Traxxas hexs and pins on it and went with 3.8 Proline Badlands, awesome traction on nearly all surfaces and nice for jumping - I had heard of drive pins backing out too so I blue thread locked them all from the start. I've abused the crap out of mine at a BMX track and after about 6 packs on 3S I've no parts to replace....yet. It is however a bit sedate after a Traxxas Slash 4x4 on 3S, but I like how it handles for bad terrain days
  8. I've got 2x KM 30.5's and both killed their spark plugs over about 3x break in tanks...stock settings were both too rich so the plugs get fouled. New plug, stock settings or slightly leaner and tune from there
  9. Just thought I would chime in, KM's are a bargain Here's my 002C fighting a Losi5 yesterday:
  10. Yep same as mine - I thought it was something major but bogging is a symptom of running rich and a tiny carb adjustment fixed mine, but I reckon it can go leaner after a few more tanks.
  11. I just broke in a KM Baja this weekend and after 2nd short heat cycle it started to bog and stall. Leaned out the low speed needle a bit and all was good. Not sure it's the same problem but hope it helps.
  12. Ahh ok that sounds great thanks guys!...and yes mine broke with heat/flex. I'll give the stock one with a nylock nut a try and see what happens.
  13. Hi...nice thread. I just snapped my Losi 5ive pinion bolt too. I haven';t stripped one yet. What's the best way to get at it to remove the clutch bell. I presume it's engine out? I'm also considering buying the Vertigo Bell and Pinion with hex bolt as I've only run my stock 5ive with a 30.5 ESP engine a few times and can't be arsed breaking pinion bolts.
  14. The original 5T (T1000) shell that came with my truck 6 months ago from RC Modelz has been abused weekly in all conditions and it's still hanging in there? It's split in a few places months ago (not shattered) and gaffa tape sorted that?
  15. Thanks for all the advice guys. Looks like stiffer springs might be needed. I've fitted both rear windows and they do look like a good whack would break either of them. I went with HD Joffer skid plates, they fit nicely and look HD to me, but there are loads of other brands to choose from. The weathers looking good for the weekend everyone
  16. Ok mate I will get to diff and shock oils for sure. Hoping for some rare dryness this weekend to do a break-in and get a base line. I like to sort suspension first and I see the springs are very soft so I've wound them up near max to get level at the back and slightly higher front. I have some heavier than stock mods so I guess that's why its ass sagged. There isn't much left to play with so I might need stiffer springs. What springs are everyone running?
  17. My KM 5T Baja got hit by a 5ive side on and it lost 2x wheel hubs in the process. The 5ive walked away without a scratch.
  18. Ha! That's why I posted this thread...they don't look as nice after a few runs Anyone into RC should own a 5IVE in my opinion. One of the best build quality RC's I've seen and I'm used to descent brand Heli's and Multirotors. I got into cars to share some of the batteries and gear but 5th scale petrol has taken over everything lol Anyway, I spent the last of this years RC budget and my Freeprawn loyalty points on the engine upgrade, losi pipe, Bart Cage Panels, Xtreme mud guards and Full Force screens (hate cleaning), a few braces (DDM and Fast Lane) , Jofer HD skid plate set and superbee kill switch. I think that was it. Thanks for all your feedback - if anyone has any questions fire away, I'm just returning the favour this site has done for me. Oh and for those with 5ive's, keep your threads going so I can learn from you lot! Cheers
  19. Hi All I've been busy on my third 5th scale project in 6 months ;-) After buying 2x KM T1000's and adding some aftermarket parts, I've got sick of coming home every weekend with repairs to do and spare parts to order. Most part failure's I've caused myself but throughout this time my mate's stock Losi 5T has taken everything he can throw at it (in all weather). I know this might fuel the clone debate that rages here but I still think the KM's are great value and I've learnt lots for the cost of entry. I'm probably going to sell at least one, however, I decided to stop messing about and join my mate who went Losi from the start. This weekend I received a clear body Losi 5T with ESP 30.5 race ported engine and some recommended upgrades from Nige at Freeprawn Racing (top bloke). Anyway, I setup and prepped the car this weekend and painted the body (lazy one colour) and it got me into all the good stuff that the Losi has over the Baja...and yes it is a VERY expensive toy but like most things it's very evident why it costs more than other 5th scale kit when you see it in the flesh. Anyway, engine break in this weekend and I'm set for spring/summer. Here's some pics I'll update this and my KM threads once the better weather kicks in. Cheers
  20. I'm awaiting a clear bodied 5ive with race ported ESP 30.5 from Nige any day now ;-)
  21. Agreed^ you could buy new for a small amount more and not worry "as much" about instant part failure.
  22. The exhaust header bolts need to be tightened right up. Probably more torque needed than 99% of the rest of the kit. The tiniest of air gaps will mess up your tuning, introduce bogging and leak oil on your brakes ;-) Oh and I went from the SS pipe to a clone Dominator (it also leaked first run until I cranked the bolts down some more) and the SS pipe is loud but average performance.
